Angel Ridge first lap in the Am....double double hangin' out - making the 01' KX danceAre these guys tall, or am I just short?Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
Dad got me an XR70, learned to ride it, entered my first race at Lawton MX Park in 2005; didn't win, but wasn't last either.
List your competitive highlights:
5th Place, Lewisville Motorsports Winter Blizzard Series, Rd 5 - East Fork MX, Wichita Falls, TX - in the Schoolboy class - worked out well....I still made the top 5 as the only 125cc two stroke in a field of 250Fs
Also place 6th in the 125 Novice class at this race - also felt pretty good about the race
Lawton MX Park Summer Series 2006, Mini-Mini 9-11 First Place. Lawton MX Park Summer Series 2006, Mini-Mini Open, Second Place. 2008 Cooperland Fall Yamaha of Stillwater Series Rd. 2 85 12-16 4th Place.
Ridgeline MX Park Spring Series 2006 Mini Mini Open and Mini-Mini 9-11 First Place. Ridgeline MX Park Spring Series 2007 85 Sr, 85 Open First Place. Over 25 Local Race 1st Place finishes. Only one DNS in my career - over 100 races - no DNFs. Raced against big bikes on my 85 in some local races - just like on the 70, didn't win, but wasn't last either.
What are you planning for next season?
Riding some of the Oklahoma State Championship Series races. More local races at different tracks, may try a 250 next fall if I can get a little bigger and stronger - Im about a buck 10 without gear now...(a real one, not a 250F)
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Getting on big bikes this year, and beating a lot of older riders on bigger, faster bikes.
Riding and racing in Oklahoma and Texas this season. Planning on competing in the Schoolboy and Two-Stroke classes, 125 Novice classes.
