My name is Derek and Dirt biking is by far my favorite sport. I typically end up going camping most weekends to ride with my family. My favorite place to ride is probably Dumont, CA. I do also enjoy riding Pismo Beach, which is more practical because I live a lot closer to Pismo than Dumont. I did race in the WORCS races in Pismo in October 2007, where I finished 9th, which I'm content with becaus it was something that was new to me. It was my first taste of actual competitive racing, and I plan to get more into it. As much as I enjoy riding motocross tracks, I think I would prefer hare-scrambles, and that's what I want to do. When I'm not trying to go fast, I love finding jumps and trying to get better at doing tricks (I need a lot of practice!). More often than not I go riding just to have fun and get a little better every time I go.
When I'm not on my dirt bike, I skateboard to pass the time. Some of my more tech tricks include the fakie big flip, and the inward heel. I would say that manual pads are definitely my favorite. I don't skate parks much, but I focus a lot on my flatland tricks. The only time you will ever catch me at a park is if it has a sikk manny pad!
