Some Personal Information About Me:
My name is Evan York and I am a motorsport athlete. I have been competing since I was seven years old. So far in my career I have raced in sprint and endurance kart races - Indoor and outdoor alike. I consider myself a "motorsport athlete" because I will race anything that may be available to me.
Why do you like this sport?
I love racing because of the mental challenge it takes to do it successfully. It's fun competition and I strive to do it well. I want to one day become world champion.
What inspires you to compete?
The biggest influence to my racing career would be my dad. He taught me everything I know....the problem is he didn't teach me everything he knows. I still have much to learn and experience. Without him I would not be as successful as I am today.
Why do you compete?
There's something about racing that no driver can ever explain why we love to do it. I'd say most drivers enjoy it because of the "thrill". But I think of racing more as a mentality. It's fun - and can be thrilling - but if you race for the thrill...you should probably be drifting. I compete because I love to race and I am very competitive. The adrenaline is like no other - and your focus must always be %100.
Employment / Experience Summary
I compete as often as I can. When I started karting I would do enduros often and I never once finished off the podium (in addition to winning many). I also have recently been racing regionally and have won and podiumed several races.
