 Well another end to a long spring race season here in the valley. The temperature is rising well above the 100 mark so time to take a break from the bike for a bit. This year’s season has had some ups and downs. One of my major accomplishments was being part of the Evomo Factory Team. This has been a great experience and a great team to ride with. Here is a summary of my season: - 2 personal bests set (McDowell Meltdown and Hedgehog Hustle) - 3 Flats in 1 race - 4th place Podium
The last race of the season was this past weekend. Due to some unforeseen business and personal travel I wasn’t able to put in the amount of training I should have the past month. So this last race was a little brutal, 25miles with the first 7miles straight up. We might have well have rode up the side of the Washington monument. And the ride down was very interesting to say the least. Let’s just say I should have worn my hiking boots for this bike race. I placed 8th (out of 9) so not the best placing but I finished without any technical issues.

Next steps will be to take a break for a couple of months and begin training the end of August beginning of September. I will be racing in the Winter Dust Devil series. Think about it: Isn’t every room always room temperature?
