so i haven't been keeping up on the action, but this is basically how it all went down:
starting in december teaching the little groms to ski, basically babysitting. january acheived PSIA cert 1, began practicing park more... rest of the year so far- still teaching the little guys most of the time, but getting more and more privates and getting my name out there as an instructor. free time spent skiing park and learning new tricks on rails, jumps, pipe and everything else the park crew can throw out in A51. pretty much growing up in the best terrain park in the world! making all the pros jealous that its my home...
so now i continue to ski park and learn everything i can, planning on doing some real comps next season with everything i've learned this year.

so I'm officially going to work at Keystone Mountain Resort starting in December as a 3-6 year old kids ski instructor! its kind of starting at the bottom but kids are fun and i love teaching youngsters what i love to do, so i think it will work out just fine! If you have or know anyone with children who need to learn to ski well, come find me at Keystone! I have three years experience in Iowa, and I hope to complete at leaset levels 1 and 2 for PSIA certifications this winter. You can also request me for any ages private lessons, which would pay me better and be more fun because of the one on one.
i put up a link to keystone on my sponsors page, but its easy to find: http://keystone.snow.com !

So its now September and some ski resorts will be opening soon! I can't wait for the snow to start falling, I'm getting so excited!
I've got some new sponsors now that I'm really glad to have. I can't wait to get out on the hill and tell everyone about the gear I'm using. I've just upgraded my Sponsorhouse account so I can apply to a couple companies who's gear I already use, which would be a perfect match I think!
Pray for snow!

So, I finally made it to Colorado! I've been here and working for three weeks now. I found a place in the Wildernest area of Silverthorne for a decent price and moved in this week. Still trying to rearrange my room though, trying to find space with all my space, and I've still got more stuff back home to get!
my new address:
7333 Ryan Gulch Rd.
Silverthorne CO 80498
Still need to convince the post office that I'm a resident of Summit County now so I can get a PO Box to actually receive mail...
more updates soon...

I'm finally moving to Colorado!!!
I've gotten my transfer with Kum & Go to Silverthorne Colorado and I'm leaving on Monday July 2nd 2007. I'm SO freaking excited, you have no idea! I've still got my car, so I'll be driving it out west for now, but hopefully I'll get a truck before the snowfall starts!

Oh boy, so I think I've found the path to righteousness... or at least my own way to get to Colorado without going bankrupt. I'm currently working at Kum and Go in Ames (for 3 weeks now!) and the company has been opening up a WHOLE bunch of new stores in Colorado and they are desperate for employees out there! Right now they are flying people out to CO to cover stores for a couple weeks, so my plan is to work for the company at least a month and then get transferred to the great rocky state and hopefully they'll hook me up with a place to stay for a while to get settled and pay to move me as well!
So I've just got to stick with this job for a while and the plan is that about september i'll have a ski resort job and be in heaven on the mountains again. Sometime during this summer I'd like to travel a little and see my family and long lost friends.
And unless I get some good sponsors for my car to do some road rallies, I'll probably be selling it and getting a 4X4 to better navigate the mountains. So if you or anyone you know are interested in buying a 2000 Mustang GT, take a look at my photos and send me a message cuz I can only afford one vehicle.

now that all the snow around here has melted i'm starting to get really bored. i'll be able to drive my car with the windows down again which is nice but i'd almost prefer to be skiing all year round. i might be wrong, but i'm guessing the whole 3 months of winter that we got in Iowa is going to be a lot different than the 6 plus months I'll see in the rockies next winter, so maybe i'll be satisfied with that much skiing.
anyways, i'll be trying to perfect my site and connect with more people and sponsors this summer. if anyone has any ideas for training or activities to satisfy my sliding ambitions, let me know.
also, i will be playing baseball all summer, and if anyone is close to Des Moines and would like to join, check out the league here: www.iowabaseball.org
see you all in the fall!
