Invasion Skates was founded in 2000 when a bunch of friends got together and "invaded" our local park. The park had been taken over by local slackers, bikers and people that were just hanging out and not skating. They were spray painting and ruining our park so we had to take action. We all spray painted "Invasion" on our grip tape.
We had about 30 or 40 skaters that were there for the same reason, to take back what was ours. We took over the place and got our spot back.
9 years later we have a large online skateshop, a team, a bunch of decks and we are still friends that skate together almost every day.
