For the last 4 years the AMRA has been putting on races during the Calgary and Edmonton indoor motorcycle shows. In 2007, the race became the Indoor National Championship and this year I was very luck to participate. Found in a hall off the main motorcycle show, a track was lined out of tires on polished concrete; if you like to slide this is a race for you. With more then 90 racers from age 8 to 54, racing Friday thru Sunday, in heats, qualifiers and mains; this is racing and the competition is stiff. With accumulated points from both shows leading to the title in all classes of Indoor National Champion. Unable to make it to both shows not to worry the Calgary show awarded trophies to the top three in each class. Let me assure you that this event was so much fun on and off the track that it is more than worth while attending just one event if you get the chance. I have to say these are some of the nicest, most welcoming people, which makes up for any down falls they may have in organization, which they are very close to having dialed in. Two thumbs up to all the volunteers, mechanics, all the racers and the AMRA for such a great event. Good luck in Edmonton.
