Well August has been a month of practice, practice and more practice with lots of learning.  Still lots to learn and more practice to do.  Looking forward to Septembers races.

With the temp in the mid to high 30 it was hard to keep cool even in the shade.  A good soak before lining up was ideal.  With my first whole shot happening on moto one, the surprise of it nearly lost me the position, which did end up happening in the whoops.  With luck of keeping it on two wheels did get me to the finish line in first, but know the second moto would be a much harder one to win.  I was right, with the racings being cut shorter due to time and heat I was second from start to finish, but over all I ended in first place, which gives me a small 14 point lead in the series and two races to go.

Well, after being asked to and explained why there was an importance in it, I decided to go a head and ride.  What a privilege to ride with some of the best women in Canada.  Nothing better then being passed by the top five; can't wait till next year.

Moto 1 placed 23rd

Moto 2 placed 22nd

First full series I have finished and what an experience.  I can't wait till my foot is held to give it my all.

Well with disappointment with the track conditions for the practice, it was better to have practice then nothing at all.  In reality I was just using the practice and two days of racing as more of a practice then as a full commitment to winning due to my foot still swelling and wanting to save some for the final Super Saturday race.  With not doing any jumps and struggling with the left corners I still pulled off 4th place, which was surprising with being the last person around the first corner in every start.  Great practice for passing.

With my foot in the condition it was in after two days of trying to race on a not to rough track.  The decision not go to the AM Nationals in Raymond was a tough one, but the best thing to do. It will give my foot time to heal up for the following week’s races, which are not as important but still great experiences and be able to give a better go at the final Super Saturday.

this was a good idea yesterday?  Well I raced yesterday so I might as well do what ever I can today.  This was all good until I went down and the bike hit my foot and my foot hit the ground.  It took sometime and help but I was up and going to get around the corner to the finish line, placing 3rd.  Sitting at the gate for the second moto, I really believed myself to be out of my mind to be riding, but I’m already here and the gate is about to drop get it over with.  I pushed as best as I could and stood for the most part pushing myself to illness by the checker flag.  I’ve never been happier to get off the bike and out of gear or happier to have help loading the bike. Time to really rest the foot.

All I can do is try. I decide to race with my injured foot as Id rode on Thursday with out even putting my foot on the peg and found some tricks so I figured why not race.  Well once you get out there its hard not to go as hard as you can but pain does play a big part in that and I just couldn’t get going to keep up with the other girls but managed to keep it up on two wheels to place third in both motos.  On the way home I didn’t feel like Id made the best choice but at least the day was over.

New bike and extreme mud conditions that I’ve never ridden in before.  What does it mean when people look at the track and leave was my first thoughts in the morning?  I’m up for trying and it was a challenge for sure.  No practice just a hot lap before the race was given.  Well I was still on the hot lap when the vet beginner class started, stuck on a hill.  No worries still had the ladies B class.  With luck the track was altered, but still it was a challenge to get around with a surprising first place in the first moto.  Track was shaping up by the second round of motos but you still needed to stay in the ruts to keep moving. Moto 2 of the ladies race started rough with being hit by a vintage bike but still kept it up and going. The next straight I went for a pass which sent me for an unexpected ride off the track on the long grass, which was fine till I tried to get back onto the track.  Front end washed out and down I went.  Great pain in my boot as I realized my foot shouldn’t be like that and put it back to where it should be. Manager to get to my bike which a vintage rider picked up for me and said not to worry the medic was on its way and I just got on the bike and went.  I couldn’t put weight on my right foot but I managed to get around the track with out going down and finishing the race.  I can believe I came in second with a broken foot, but adrenalin with shock can be great thing.

Ladies B moto 1 I came in 3rd with run in with a 65 which gave my second place away and a chase right to the finish line to gain one place back.  Little crazy with so many classes on the track at one time.  The second moto gave problem to the other girls and gave me my first 1st place finish.

Made a choice to run in the Vet Beginner class for this Saturday.

With the track being wet from rain and then the staff watering on top of it made for a slick track.

Loved some of the jumps on this track.

Bike had big problems getting up the hills, but still did well in spite.  A 2nd place finish in both ladies B motos, is a confidence booster.

125 beginner class was a 30th in Moto 1 and 27th in moto 2.

Well everyone was only give three laps of practice, but with my bike leaking gas so bad that I could barely keep the bike running to make one lap of practice, I was happy to place in the 3rd in the first moto and 4th in the second moto.  Thou the leak was somewhat fixed between the practice and race, the bike still didn’t run well enough to make any jumps.  I was very happy to have people help me out with getting the bike started so I could race.  125 beginner class was a constant 26th place in both motos.

With only a year under me in riding MX I feel confident in the results I achieved in my first SOAB race.  First Ladies B moto I came in 3rd and the second moto I came in 2nd.

In the 125 beginner class I made 31st in the first moto and 29th in the second

Did not know what to expect, wow, what an experience.  In the ladies B class it seemed to be who could keep it on two wheels.  I was blown away that I only went down once in a qualifier.  Day one I came in 5th place. Day two I came in 4th place.
