Having never been to the track in Medicine Hat and being the home track of the next close lady to me in the standings I was a bit worried about the race.  Arriving the evening before I had a quick chance before the sun went down to walk the track.  I was really concerned by the end of the walk finding the track was mostly double, tables and two rythm sections.  Over whelmed I went to bed for a better view in the morning.  I was up early to walk the track again, gaining some advice from a long time rider, feeling a bit better about the track when I was done the walk.

Lining up for the practice, with hope I could see what the other girls where doing or not doing but to no end I ended up in front of the one I need to be behind but managed to get through with some others to follow, but still not getting the rythm sections down or anything more then a few tables in three laps.

Now time ofr the first race came and the goal was to get behind the home town girl off the start and see what I can learn for the next moto and keep her in sight.  With luck I was behind her in the first turn and kept to her almost running into her in the rythm sections.  A bit puzzled to why no jumps where really being made so in the second lap I started the jumping doubles and then just pinned it over some doubles Id not even tried, with luck making them with easy and passing the competition to achieve the first place in the moto.  Now for the second moto.  In the end I won the second moto as well but was puzzled about the competition not jumping as Im sure she could at her home track?  I guess I will find out next year when we race again in the ladies A class.

Great weekend in all with the WRMA Fall Super Saturday and the SOAB.

Well, I feel like I am on track again from where I was before I broke my foot and from changing bikes. It is looking that way with the results in the races this weekend. A 1st in Ladies B in both series and in all motos. It is looking likely that I will be moving up to the Ladies A class for next year. A big step for sure, with new challenges and skills to be had.

It also helps that the tracks where in great condition at both races, with great weather to go with them.
