Landon got started in BMX at the tender age of 3 when he was riding a bike without training wheels because he literally rode his bike until they were broke off. From then on he started grass racing and was beating kids that were 5 and 6 at 3 years old. When he turned 4 we took a chance and purchased a micro mini and went to the track to try it out. He was a bit hesitant, but gave it his best shot. We were racing within a week.
Landon turned intermediate at the age of 5, which is quite an accomplishment for being from this part of the country...we only race once or twice a week. Not like in CA where you can race all week long. We only wish! Once he got clipped in...he was on fire. He won all 6 National events he raced at as a novice/rookie and the first 2 he competed in as an intermediate/novice. Although, 2010 will be a bit different. He is going to have to work and train extremely hard...the domination days of novice/rookie are behind him now! Now he has to race the big boys who want it just as bad as he does!
Planning to hit the lottery to afford all of the travel! Besides that, convincing his father to travel more. He promised he would once he got good...well!?!?
Landon was the Massachusetts 5 and under State Champion (ABA) and recently was awarded Northeast Regional Champion (NBL) 5 novice. Not bad for one year!
Landon racing - NBL race...how do you know which little guy to watch? Gate 7, or the one that takes off from the start!
