My name is Albert Simpson, everyone calls me Lil’ AL. I was born Halloween 1996, which is why my race number is 31.
I first started driving karts at the age of 6. I have won at every age and class I have raced at. Always moving up and racing at older age groups with age exemptions. Traveled regionally and nationally since the age of 7 ½ . My Dad has taught me that getting up early on a Saturday morning, going out rain or shine, when you are the only driver at the track, is what makes a champion.
In 2008 I started making the transition from road course racing to oval racing in the INEX Bandolero Bandits class.
I am continuously learning from my crew chief and driver coach Brian Liberante of ProRacing Specialties. I am learning business and marketing from my Dad.
I have been featured in many regional and National karting and racing magazines such as GoRacingNational Kart News
Featured on many websites such as SpeedTV, eKartingNews
Featured in Euro Karting News Magazine
Spokesperson for RMax Challenge at Long Beach Grand Prix 2005 & 2006
I have visited England twice to train with ProTrain Racing (Europe’s #1 Rotax race team) at Whilton Mill (Silverstone) and learn from driving instructor Gary Chapman former UK & European Karting champion.. my dad is English.
I love racing, the speed, the competition and I am working hard to make my goals of becoming a NASCAR champion a reality.
My biggest fans are my Mom, Dad and sister who provide me with all of the support and encouragement I need.
I am a Team Simpson driver (no relation) and wear their suits, gloves, shoes and helmets with pride.
