What inspires you to compete?
I want to succeed and show people what I can do.
Why do you like this sport?
I fell in love with it, I can't get enough of it. I am completely dedicated to the sport, and look to make a living out of it somehow.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I recently got a bike trainer, so that I can train on my bicycle during the winter. Once the snow melts, I will road bike almost every day for at least an hour, and I also do some running and weight lifting as well.
Some Personal Information About Me:
I was born with one kidney, and my parent's didn't want me to get a bike. After a lot of hardships with the parent's, I finally was able to get a bike. After I got my bike, those hardships made me want to compete. However, everything comes out of my own pocket, I don't get anything just handed to me, that also motivates me to beat my competitors who have their parent's or other people support them. However, I am a very nice person due to the fact that my parent's are great people. I have great sportsmanship, because I was brought up to be that way! In that way, I don't mind that my parent's don't support my riding/racing efforts.
Employment / Experience Summary
I am a service technician at Tousley Motorsports. I was introduced to the motorcycle industry when I was in middle school by a friend, he raced a YZ80, from then on I was hooked on motocross, and now I get to work in the industry for a living.
How did you get started?
I got stared in the sport through a friend that had a bike. I just fell in love with the sport ever since!
List your competitive highlights
I've been getting good results since I started. I try to learn as much as I can, which makes me a better racer.
What are you planning for next season?
Last year I didn't get a good job in the summer so I couldn't ride or race very much at all. This year I'm getting a job that will support my riding much more. I plan on racing as much as possible, hopefully every weekend. I'm also working on a new training program.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Finishing my first race ever in 4th place, and almost winning my first ama sanctioned race ever.
