This weekend I had to overcome many things. On Saturday, I competed in 109 degress heat. The heat effected the kart set up and brakes. In the JR-1 main, I lost the breaks on the first lap which resulted in a DNF. In the HPV-1 class, I learned from the JR-1 set up and I was able to pull off a 5th place finish. On Sunday, with the heat still around, I qualified 8th. In the pre-main I worked my way up to 3rd. On the final turn of the last lap, a karter tried to pass me, we touched tires and my axle broke. This caused me to start in 20th place for the main. In the main event, I was able to go from 20th place to 3rd place and get a podium finish. It was my toughest 3rd place finish ever, but I never gave up.
