What inspires you to compete?
I am self-motivated. I try my best in everything I do, whether it is racing, school, etc. I work hard and don't quit. When I am not satisfied with my results it inspires to focus and fix what I am doing wrong.
Why do you like this sport?
The reason I love this sport is the competitiveness, the people, and the fun of racing. It`s good to know that on the track u can try as hard as u can to pass someone but not have them mad at you after the race. Also thinking about going riding after school or knowing a race is coming up that weekend and getting to see all of your friends is a major reason too.
Some Personal Information About Me:
My name is Paul Ragon, I am 16 years old and am in the 11th grade. This past year (2007) I mainly focused on qualifing for Loretta Lynn's in the 250 C class. I went 6-10-9 at my regional for 8th place overall. I needed 6th to qualify, so I missed it by 2 positions. I finished the year out in the C class but this year (2008) I will be riding the B class. Besides racing I like to hang out with my friends, play basketball, and just have fun doing whatever. I have a 3.8 GPA and am involved in several clubs at school. Being a born-again Christian, I belive that character on and off the track is more important than always winning.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I ride 2-3 times a week, do some weight training 2-3 days a week, and run or bike 2-3 days a week.
