Some Personal Information About Me:

I am currently a Civil Engineer for the Delaney Group, Inc (A division of Tetra Tech, a worldwide company in the construction of wind energy and heavy highway construction). I've worked really hard to accomplish my goals (and still working on new goals) in the engineering world as well as making a name for myself in the racing world.

Why do you like this sport?

I have been ridng since i was 5. I grew up riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and ATVs. To be honest I couldn't imagine doing anything else with my time.

What inspires you to compete?

I compete because i love the feeling of accomplishment. There isn't ANYTHING better than putting countless hours of hard work into something you love and then going out and proving to EVERYONE that you are definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Describe your style...

I tend to be a late bloomer. I usually get a decent start and run good pace with the leaders for the first lap. I think it's because of my nerves and the lack of seat time i get during the week being away at school but i get really bad thumb pump and lose sight of the front of the pack. This lasts maybe a lap and a half to two laps. The last lap and soemtimes the last two laps I get a second wind, turn it up, and ride like I'm supposed to. The last lasp is usually when I do what i do the best. This is where i find myself back to the front of the pack.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Being out of town all week for work makes it really hard to train and even harder to ride. I try to stay eating healthy and am looking for a gym to workout in. I purchased a powergyro, which for those of you who don't know, is an exercise ball that generates energy from you twisting your hand and helps strengthens your grip. This seems to be a very successful tool in easing away the arm pump.

In the 2009 season, I will be racing in the College B class. I will be riding my '08 Yamaha YZF450 that I bought halfway through the 2008 season.

With last season turning into an experimental one, getting my new machine and all, I am up to par and ready to race. I have stepped up my diet and hammered down on my running. Although I am still away at college until the start of the race season, I will be coming home every weekend to practice as much as humanly possible.

The past two seasons have been quite a treat, changing machines halfway through the season both years and having some bad luck. This year will be my year to do what i do. Racing is my life and all I think about. My confidence is up this year and I'm ready to go. This is my year to show everyone that i'm a force to be reckoned with.
