what i'm about.

yo i'm Daniel Esperson and i live in Alpine, Wy. I know what you're thinking. "hmm never heard of it, i've heard of Jackson though." well i'm settled about 30 minutes from there. I'm a snowboarder and a skateboarder. I'm more focused on skate though. I know wierd right? yeah i live in a place where there's more pow to shred than dry concrete. well what ever i'm not giving up on either. just being from The Bay Area has made my interest in skate spark. who knows what will happen. maybe i'll be sponsored in both. hey it's cool with me. I'm going wherever the wind takes me...

Q&A - Self Interview

What got you into boarding?

Well about a year ago now one of my best friends got his first skateboard. We shared it and skated a local bank for a while. I picked up my first board a couple weeks later. The rest is history :D

How long have you been boarding?

I have been skateboarding for almost a year now. I've been snowboarding for a season now.

Which are you more serious about?

Well I went into snowboarding as a sport to help me better my skills while it was winter and i couldn't skate. Then i realised how much i love to just shred pow. So really i'm about equal. When summer comes i'll be all about the skate. While winter is here i'm salivating over the snow.

What kind of setup do you have?

Ok on my skateboard i'm riding a Enjoi board, tensor magnesium trucks, lucky 13's, ricta super crystals, and black magic grip tape. On my Snowboard i'm riding a Morrow Clutch 158, Salomon binidings, Thirtytwo boots (lighter than my nike's), Spy goggles, dakine gloves (most toasty gloves i've ever had), and a planet earth jacket (i'm huge when it comes to being green/environmental friendly)

Q&A - Personal

Describe your style...

Lol well i'm the kid who doesn't show off. I'm the kid who manuals the park as a warm up and then pretty much works the rest of the day. I'm the kid who cruises instead of speeding from spot to spot. I'm the kid who isn't the best, won't be the best, but strives to be great.

Why do you like this sport?

I love boarding because it's my life. No matter how bad the day gets riding my board keeps me up. I could eat all the snow or concrete in one session and still feel pretty good.

Music?

Haha yeah i'm a music addict. I listen to a lot of different stuff. I listen to techno, metal, screamo, soul, and some hip hop. I'm mostly into metal though.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I either want to go pro as a boarder or be a photographer. There's just something about picking up a camera and taking shots of other people jamming that makes me feel good.
