DUNK ON A DUKEE DAY

Education / College / Post-College:

I graduated from Western Carolina University in 1993 with a BSBA degree with a major in Marketing.  I originally studied Computer Science and switched to the School of Business because I grew tired of sitting in front of a computer.  After entering the real world, I found that I didn't like much in the Marketing profession and got back into computers (Software Engineering) a few years after graduating.

My Youth

I'm originally from Charlotte, NC where I lived with my mother, step-father and sister.  Charlotte is also where most of my family lives.

My step-father, C.N. Taylor, grew up a friend of Rick Hendricks and has been involved with automotive motorsports for most of his life.  He was also a member of Geoff Bodine's pitcrew (front tire changer) when Geoff drove for Rick and the All Star Racing and Levi Garrett Nascar racing teams.  He also bought me a kart when I was about 11 years old.  I practiced with a childhood friend at a kart track in Concord, NC and planned on racing junior boxstock.  However, I moved to Minnesota and Wisconsin, for a year each, to live with my biological father before I actually started competing.  By the time I moved back to NC, my parents had sold my kart so I never got back into the sport.

My father and the rest of my Wisconsin family are big into hunting,  fishing, and camping which I also enjoy very much.  During my childhood I would visit Wisconsin each summer.  My father, grandparents, and I would also go on fishing trips to norther WI and Canada where the fishing is excellent.  My father and I also enjoyed canoeing trips down the black river.

Me and San Diego, CA

I relocated to the San Diego area in April of 1999 with my English Bulldog "Jack".  I met my wife (from Tijuana) shortly after moving here.  We got married in August of 2000 and now have 3 girls.  We moved to Phoenix, AZ in 2004 and moved back to Escondido, CA in August of 2006.  Phoenix was just too hot and not green enough for us.  Plus, we couldn't make our bi-weekly visits to TJ where we have family get togethers for carne asada and cervesas.
