Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
My father use to compete in demolition derby, stock car racing... You name it, he probably did it. My dad helped my brother restore a street/strip 66 Nova and one trip to the local strip and we were hooked. I bought my car when I was 13 years old, completed a 5 year ground up restoration and have enjoyed the journey all along.
List your competitive highlights:
3 time Division 7 Champion for dragraceresults.com (all west coast states)
Clean Sweep at LACR in 2001, we won the Friday Gambler, Pro category Saturday and Pro category Sunday Race. Took home all the money!!!
Voted March 2006 Jeg's Nationwide Racer of the Month.
SIR Memorial Day Classic champion 3 years in a row 04,05,06. 2008 Summit Series Fontana "PRO" Track Champion, currently ranked #3 on west coast.
What are you planning for next season?
Try and be the points champion for the Summit Series out of Fontana. Most importantly.. go out and have fun and be competitive and do the best we can; meanwhile providing exposure to those sponsors to expand their market share.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Being the 1st college graduate from a very hard working blue collar family, and purchasing my own home in 2007 at 25 years old.
- Most of all, making my parents and family proud of my lifestyle, choices and accomplishments.
