January 16, 2009, Being my first blog I believe that it would be important that I introduce myself. My name is Andrew (AJ) Grosenbaugh. I began racing when my boss and fellow employees convinced me to start. I work at a bike shop and I always had found the sport to be quite interesting. Even before I began working in the shop I would walk over and watch the Tour on the HD TV there. So, after my boss got me on to the CL Noonan Junior Developement Team, I entered some 'cross races last fall, and I realized that it was a lot of fun to race. After the cyclocross season ended I strated training hard for the road season. I trained throughout the winter and braved the elements. It was worth it though. When spring finally came I was just as strong as many of the junior development team members who have been racing for quite a while. My results have continued to get better as the early road season progresses, and these next couple weeks of training will be hard in order to prepare for the 50th annual Fitchburg Stage Race.
