Well, this year has not gone as planned. After qualifying for regionals for Loretta Lynn's, I had a very serious hip injury. The doctors told me that I would never ride again. However, with intense physical therapy and motivation, I returned to the sport a bit over 3 months later. I went pretty much straight into state races with only a couple of weeks to prepare. Going straight into the A class after being hurt so badly is no easy task, and I have been more than happy with being able to hang towards the front of the pack in the state races. My physical conditioning is still not where it needs to be, but is getting better. I have also been going to a chiropractor weekly who has been working with me on my hip trying to make it better. I walk with a bit of a limp still, and running is out of the question, but it really isn't too much of a bother when riding. For the two months remaining this season, I am going to just work on getting back to where I was before this devastating injury. This winter I'll be training religously to get myself in great shape, and ready to make a full speed ahead run at the national for 2009. I will be there. That's the plan. To all of my sponsors, thank you for standing behind me, and thank you for the good wishes and letters you've sent. I'll be back up front in the A class next year on my Kawasaki 450, and have full intentions on making it to Loretta's. Thanks again. 641
