How did you get started?
A year ago, when I was 13, I saw wakeboarding on the X-Games and because I already skied, I wanted to try it. I fell in love with the sport.
What are you planning for next season?
Next season I plan to compete in the Men's Intermediate division. I am planning to go to as many competitions in the Northern California area as I can. I also hope to land many of the inverts and spins I have been attempting, such as; HS Tantrum [check], HS Backroll[check], TS Frontroll [check], Wrapped TS Frontroll, HS Raley, and maybe even a whirlybird which I have been training for on land. At the end of the year I hope to compete in the INT Championships in Louisiana, BoardStock in Clear Lake, And place in the top 3 at these competitions.
Now its the end of the season, and I accomplished all my goals except for competing on clear lake, I feel I did very well and Im stoked for next season were the tricks I learned in '07 open a lot of doors for even cooler tricks. again for '08 I plan to attend every event In CA, and wherever the INT nationals are, and perhaps at the WWA that was in Reno, NV and was broadcast on T.V. Also for next year, I plan to continue my shift into West Side Style riding, Just chargin that wake and landing way out in the flats on super legit grabbed spins. For now I'm training every day on the trampoline for atleast an hour a day.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
I'm not sure what my biggest accomplishment is yet, I feel like every accomplishment is my greatest. getting 6th at Nationals was an accomplishment, yet I'm 100% I could have done better. I was Stoked On this Huge 360 I did the other day, but on paper that sounds like a very small accomplishment.
