What has been your most embarrassing moment?

I got halfway down the starting straight, with a good start, and my gas was off.

Why do you like this sport?

I just love riding, it such a mind clearer. I also like hanging out with all my racing buddies at the track, and watching (and/or participating) in some good, bar-banging action.

Describe your style...

I'm rather conservative. I ride smooth an in control, but try to hang it out. I don't take huge, unnecessary risks, unless I absolutely need to or feel it will dramatically improve my overall finish.

Music?

I love any type of rock music. I play guitar, bass, and drums, and used to be in a band.

Employment / Experience Summary

I got to be a part time mechanic for an amateur flat-track racer back in 2003 and 2004. Now I work installing and repairing gutters to support my racing.

Competition

How did you get started?

My stepdad started all the kids riding as soon as we could ride a bike without training wheels. My older brother started racing when I was 8, and I bugged my parents to get me a race bike for two years. Finally towards then end of my brother's second year racing, they bought me a used 1996 Honda CR80.

List your competitive highlights:

15th in state in 14-24 (2007), 7th in state in 125B (2004), 9th in state in 125B (2006), 2nd in Great River Shoutout series (2006) 14th in state in 125C (2003) 2nd in MXTreme Series in 125C (2002)

What are you planning for next season?

I'm planning on finishing top 3 in the state overall standings. I really want to earn a jacket, because in both 2004 and 2006 I just barely missed getting one. I also want to win some races, get top 3 again in 125B for the Great River Shootout Sreies, and win Vintage class in the same series.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

My first overall win ever (2002, Vintage class, swept both motos in row, two weeks in a row). My first real moto win (2004, 125B, Cayuga Indiana) My first Overall win (2006, 125B, East Moline Illinois)
