Had my first race of 2009 today! I participated in the cccx downhill race #1! I was expecting to make top 10 but I crashed. The race went great up to where I washed out! Despite the crash, I still caught up to the person in front of me and finished in 17th place. I am fairly satisfied with this result since this is only the 2nd race I have ever participated in!

Whats better than a fun ride on a few of your favorite trails for your birthday?! Well, thats exactly what I did at least. Four friends and I left at 9 in the morning to go on an exciting ride in Santa Cruz. We had a great time riding two of my favorite trails and Jumping some of my favorite jumps. After our fun filled forest ventures we headed back to my house for some tasty cake.
Now I have yet to look forward to one more trip to Northstar before the beginning of the school year and hope for an upcomming race!

I went to Tahoe last week and spent some time riding Flume Trail and another two days at northstar! The Roco continues to prove itself every time I ride it! And after letting a couple people try it out, they decided it was the smoothest shock they had ever used!

Today I went on a ride in Santa Cruz. There were some great freeride stunts on one of the trails I went down. These included a nine foot drop and a thiry-two foot double! (I actually had something to measure with today) I have done both these stunts before, but today I slid out and fell after I landed the double. I couldn't end my freeriding for the day like that though, so I hiked back up the hill and jumped it a second time. I landed it perfectly!
The downhill portion of the ride was very fast paced and had some awesome rock gardens. I didn't go quite as fast as I could have though because I was tired from yesterdays ride and I had a few friends with me who couldn't keep up otherwise.
Overall, this was a great ride and I really enjoyed it.

I road a trail today that was steep rocky and gravely. It was more of steep all mountain or cross country ride, but i still pedaled up it on my forty-five pound bike. Going down it was very fun and fast paced though which once again made the ride up worth it.
