In case the word hasn't leaked into your brains yet, this past weekend was going OFF here in California. Words can't express how many barrels I saw this past weekend, here is a little preview of some of the madness. Enjoy..

It's that time again for one of surfing's biggest events The US.Open in Huntington Beach, this week and through the whole weekend. We will be down there cheering on some of the Freestyle team riders like Cory Lopez, Teddy Navarro and even ex-Freestyle team rider Kelly Slater to name a few. Make sure you stop in to Jacks Surfshop or HSS and pick up one of the NEW Shark Classics to make sure you don't miss a heat. Get your crack at the action this weekend!! SEE YA THERE....

If you are excited by limited edition pieces we've got a good one for you. Our Japanese distributor has worked this rad collab with Stussy. For now these are only available in Japan, but with the way this is running through the blogosphere, maybe this program needs to be expanded, hmmm? Check out high snobiety, the hundreds, solediction, hypelife, and our pals over at sneakhype. So here a question for you, what brand would you like to see Freestyle collaborate with next?

We are so ready for the 4th of July! Woohoo, got the day off on Friday to get a kick start on the festivities. Let’s not forget what the holiday is all about now, whether you are supporter of our foreign policy or not, it’s only right to support the troops that are put in harms way. We are very proud to build watches that are appreciated by our armed forces and want take this opportunity to say thank you to the troops especially to SPC. Clayton Henderson and fellow soldier Alex Michel from the 305th PSYOP for sending us the below photos.

It means a lot to have guys like this take the time to take photos and send us e-mails to tell us the watches kick ass. We really appreciate. So to make a long story short, we’ve just come out with authentic military camouflage Shark Watches. Here’s to the troops! Now if only we could borrow that Hummer! Happy 4th of July!!!

We had some excitement in Freestyle land last night during our shoot with Cory. We wanted to get a shot with an airport/airplane in the backdrop to go along with Cory's new signature world time watch, The Lopex III, coming out this October. Of course, we realized airport security is pretty tight since 911, so we found a cul-de-sac near an Airport that ran up to near the runway. There were no signs warning us this street was off limits or that we were violating any laws so we just started setting up the camera equipment. Then, in blink of an eye we had 3 Sheriffs burning rubber in our direction, barricading us in with their police vehicles, seriously putting the shut down on our operation. Anyways, with some smooth talking it ended up cool, they simply ran our licenses to make sure we weren't bad guys, asked for Cory's autograph and gave us the OK to finish up the shoot. The shot below is the result; you'll see something like this in the new Fall 2009 Catalog.
