About Me

Hey, My name is Zack Gagnon, I am 16 years old. I have been racing motocross going on 13 years. I am proudly sponsored by Pro-action Suspension out of new gloster, and Trailside Performance out of winslow Maine. My favorite color is bright pink, I honestly cant say why except that its diferent and unique. Other sports that i enjoy other than racing motocross is racing snocross. I am a jr. at Lawrence High School, I participate in school activites and am on my school bowling team. My future plans is to professionaly race motocross but it that doesnt workout for me I plan on going to college for an architecture's degree.

What I love about Motocross, I like to sit at the gate, gazing into the first corner, slowly cracking the throtle. I like that most people in my class are friendly, but out off every thing at the track, my favorite thing is when kids come up to me and tell me good job, or good luck. Unlike other experts in my class, I say thanks and I try to watch them race next time there on the gate. I have been in the smaller shoes at one time, I know what its like to get blown off by a fast rider and I dont ever want to do that to anyone!

Favorite color- pink, black and white

Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

I went to the races with my parents when I was 3 1/2 years old to watch some friends race, I stood at the fence for hours watching, not budging. I was not hungry; I did not want to play in the pond. I wanted a dirt bike so when I got home I ask my parents if they can get me one and they said when I could ride my pedal bike without the training wheels then I could get a dirt bike. I asked my parents to take the training wheels off. My parents left me outside trying to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels. An hour or two later I came inside because I was able to ride my pedal bike with out the training wheels!

List your competitive highlights:

On 50cc's (2000) - I was invited to Las Vagas for Arena cross racing, I went to LL qualifiers in Frozen Ocean New York (finished 3rd) and regional in Mt. Morris PA. (finished like 13th.), I have one a surplus of championships along the way to now. I donated 500+ trophies to a horseback riding club.

What are you planning for next season?

For the 2009 season I plan on being able to practice two days a week, race almost every Saturday and/or Sunday. I would like to get good enough to be top three every weekend. Most of all I plan on racing my hardest and pushing myself a little faster each time I am on the bike, along with having fun! I also plan on racing the Canadian Pro Nationals this year!

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

my biggest accomplishment in my racing career is that I have gotten to a level where I am comfortable (speed wise, and mentally fast enough to outsmart the other riders)I believe my biggest accomplishment is that I am happy with my racing and I know that I am my biggest critic.
