Overview

How I got started

I was 9 years old when i rode my first mini bike. It was a Speedway Shark with a Tecumseh engine on it. I was walking the pole lines near my house and a friend of mine came along and let me take it for a spin. I suppose as any 9 year old, i was hooked!

Goals for the Future

I plan on aiming for the +35 and +40 classes at Loretta Lynn`s for sure. I ride with a few local fast , younger riders and do pretty well against them so i am hoping to do well there. I usually win the plus 35 class in District 34 when i ride there so that is also a confidence boost. I have decided to retire my professional license to focus more on local events and Loretta Lynn`s for 2006.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

Just a natural desire to challenge myself to try to do more than the next guy to better myself in the sport of MX.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

I was at a local race and had to use the men`s room as my class(125A) was already lining up at the gates. As i was running down the hill to the line , being late as i was , i accidentally tripped on someone`s tent anchor string and went for a tuck and tumble roll right in front of everyone , including the riders! Not to mention pulling the tent down with me! That would definitely top them all! haha

Describe your style...

Definitely deceivingly smooth! Not a lot of messing around , just going forward.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I have a home Gym so its convenient to train for me. I have a Smith weight machine , along with an eliptycal trainer and a treadmill. I try to use these at least 3 times a week and also ride 2 or 3 times a week.

Music?

Alternative , Rock

Competitive Highlights

Coming up through the ranks as a younger rider in the Northeast was exciting for me. Always learning and new challenges coming along. Going from Novice to Amateur , Expert then obtaining my Pro license in 1991 was definitely memorable.
