Welcome to the team folks, we look forward to representing you to the best of our ability and hope to put you on the podium though out the 2008 season.

Friday, March 28th

Mario attended the AF Track day today and it was an interesting day to say the least.  We got to the track and the weather was very, very cold.  It was 28 degrees when we got there and it was supposed to only warm up to about 40 degrees later on in the day.

Unfortunately, Mario only got about 20 laps in all day due to extreme weather, mainly snow.  Mario used his rain setup to overcome the very wet and cold track, but what was the hard part was staying dry and warm.  Due to the ambient temp being so cold, traction was horrible, even using full on rain tires.

New top end worked great, even though we weren't sure how things would go with it being soooo cold, but the biked ran like a champ.

Saturday, March 29th

Man, it is still snowing and really, really cold out.  Mario is set to do his first TT race with a jump.  Both of us are very nervous as he has never done any jumps on his bikes, but we are confident that he will get the hang of it once he practices.

Sure enough, with a few practice sessions, the kid is out there just as fast as the kids that have been doing it all of their lives.  Cold and wet, but lots of fun was had.

Mario came away with 3 podium finishes, we were struggling with rear tire grip all day, but all in all, it was a blast.  Mario learned to jump his bikes and continues to impress and get faster and faster on the dirt track scene.  Next event is the WERA West Series races at Las Vegas MotroSpeedway next weekend.  Stay tuned.!

Well, its time to get the cobwebbs out and get the kid ready to start the WERA West Series.  Mario's first race will be on April 12th-13th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the WERA West Series.  Mario has already begun his testing regiment for the 2008 season.

Mario had a very wet, but successful outing on the Honda RS125 at Thunder Hill Raceway Park last month at the Keigwins track day.  It was a miserable rainy day, but we took it for what it was and tested our wet set up for Mario and he came away with tons of confidence on his Dunlop rains.  Our second day there was cancelled by the promoter as it was unsafe due to the high winds.

Mario's second outing on the RS125 was not very good as he was only able to get about 15 laps total for the whole day at the 2-Fast track day due to a large number of red flags due to crashes.  We had issues with jetting and fouled a spark plug in the morning.  We went with a leaner jet and on the penultimate session of the day, Mario experienced a top end seizure that caused a nasty high-side on the exit of T-5 at Pacific Raceways.  Mario was unhurt, but the bike didn't fare so well.  Mainly cosmetic damage to his "Track Day" bodywork, and a totally destroyed top end (cylinder and piston).

We put a new top end on the bike, replaced the cosmetic damage so that Mario will be able to test once again this Friday at the Adrenaline Freaks Track Day at Pacific Raceways.

Keep checking back and stay tuned...

Mario had a great day of racing on Saturday.  He competed in the Oakwood Dirt Track Indoor Series on Saturday in the 65-85 Unlimited Class, the MadDog Class as well as the 85cc Class.  Mario fought hard, was aggressive, and determined to stand on top of the podium in each and every race.

65-85cc Unlimited

Mario had a lot of fun in the class and fought hard for his 2nd Place finish in this class with fellow racer and buddy Davis Fisher, unfortunately, Davis came into contact with a back marker handing Mario an easy podium finish for this race.

85cc Class

This was Mario's toughest class this weekend.  He fought hard and was able to get through the back markers and maintain a very close battle with the two front runners and at one point, attempting a pass for 2nd place that was close, but not successful.  Mario settled for a 3rd Place finish in this class.

Mad Dog Class

Mario was approached by one of his friends (Riley) and asked if he wanted to race the Mad Dog class (149 cc four strokes and smaller) and he said yes.  Mario got an excellent start in this class as it was also being run in conjunction wit the CRF150R class and he got into turn one in 2nd place aboard the Yamaha TTR125. He maintained 2nd place overall for 5 of the 7 lap race when he lost the front going into the last turn.  His crash cause him considerable time and he was able to catch up and finish in 3rd Place in this class.

All in all, it was a great finish to the Winter Dirt Track season for us.  Mario learned a ton and we are set and ready to being the Road Racing season which starts next weekend for Mario at Thunder Hill Park.

We are very happy to announce our newest sponsors for Mario.  We would like to welcome the following companies aboard...

Mario had a great day of racing on Saturday.  He competed in the Mikey Fay Winter Flat Track Indoor Series on Saturday in the 65-85 Unlimited Class as well as the 85cc Class.  Mario fought hard, was aggressive, and determined to stand on top of the podium.

65-85cc Unlimited

Mario got an ok start, but was bumped off line by another rider, hey thats part of racing.  Mario put his head down and began to pass riders until he caught up to the leaders.  Mario put on some show, coming it totally sideways and making some great passes that netted him a 2nd Place finish in this class.

85cc Class

Mario did not get a good start and had to really, really fight through traffic to get to third place.  Once he caught the third place rider, Mario took just one lap to set him up for one of the most amazing passes we have seen in quite some time.  Mario had that bike so sideways, it was a thing of beauty!  Mario put his head down and went after the two leaders and was able to finish 2nd Place after the second place rider got help up by a back marker and Mario took the opportunity and came out on top.

This was the season ender for Mikey Fay for us as Mario will miss the last round due to testing that take place for him at Thunder Hill on February 23rd.  Mario's next dirt track race is on the 12th of this month at Oakwood.
