CHECK OUT HIS PROFILE
Monster Army: Zac Attack, you have been killing it this year. This is your first real year of competitive surfing. Update everyone to some of your highlights. Zac Attack: Here are my results: As you can see I am progressing each year as my endless energy and fearless drive keeps me going and focused. YMCA Finished 2nd Overall in Mini Groms and 4th Overall in Super Groms La Jolla Shores Menehune Surf Contest 08: Finished 4th / 10yrs. and under California Surfing Classic08: Finished 2nd Overall/ 14 and under Grombomb 08: Finished 3rd Overall Wind and Sea Surf Festival09: Finished 2nd Overall in 8/9 yr. old and 2nd Overall in the 10 yr. and under 2009/10 WSA Season Underway: Event #1 San Onofre: 6th Place Overall Micro-Grom Event #3 Ponto: 3rd Place Overall Micr0-Grom 4th Annual WSA Menehuene Surf Fest: 2nd Place Overall in the boys under 9 and 4th Place Overall in the boys 9-11 shortboard MA: Let everyone know your stats. Zac Attack: I am 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. I am compact at a whopping 4’3”, hefty at 58 pounds. I am a complete toe head with dazzling blue eyes. My six pack abs are pretty impressive and my shoulders look I was raised to be a gladiator ( all the paddling). I rock with the “grom-ettes”. I surf regular foot. MA: How often do you get to surf? Zac Attack: I am fortunate to have awesome parents. I get to surf EVERYDAY during the week and on the weekends I can put in about 6-8 hours. It is what I live and breathe to do. I LOVE to be in the water with my friends and it is the gift of having the sun on my face, along with a big smile, catch a pod of dolphins jumping by, the leopard sharks underneath my toes and perfect 3-5 sets rolling in. There is nothing like it! MA: Why do you think you have such a passion for surfing at your age? Zac Attack: It is all I can think about. I have been involved in other sports like soccer, tennis, golf and baseball and, although I liked other sports and was good at them, NONE compare to surfing. I sometimes put my wetsuit in the dryer before I go to bed and sleep in it. I have a bunk bed and I sleep on the bottom and my board of choice gets the top bunk. When I go to sleep my TIVO is on the last surfing segment of Fins or Fuel TV. When I wake, it is still on. When I go to the bathroom, (if you know what I mean) I have the latest surfing magazine in hand catching up on the latest and greatest in the surfing world. I just feel it in my bones. It is the best feeling in the world. I was BORN to surf, there is just no doubt about it! MA: Being as small as you are, tell me about your ideal wave coming your way. Zac Attack: The perfect surf day; about 80 degrees outside, the water is so clear you can see the sandy bottom and the fish swimming underneath you, the water is warm but still refreshing. The pelicans are diving in the background, looking for the kind grind, and the wind is slightly offshore. The surf is 3-5 foot and the reef is breaking, creating a nice reef form at my favorite local spot- Seaside Reef. I like to look back at the beach and see Toby (photographer) snapping shots and I like it when he jumps in the water with his AWESOME water camera. Really cool! You can feel the energy in the water around you as everyone is STOKED. MA: Describe your style of surfing right now. Zac Attack: I have a smooth style and look for the perfect hit off the lip. I have been working to be one of the first 8 years old to pull a 360. Getting closer, I work on it every day. My dad says I surf like a young Kelly Slater with my dedication and commitment. My mom says I am going to be on the World Tour one day with “my style and my all around good guy personality”. MA: What type of surfing style would you like to have in about 10 years? Zac Attack: Hopefully just like Dane Reynolds and Dusty Payne! Dane is radical and innovative while Dusty is all around insane in all size and conditions. Seriously he is off the hook good. There are many surfing styles, I just hope to be able to continuing doing what I love and enjoy the gift I was given. MA: You ever afraid of sharks when you are out in the water? Any stories you can share? Zac Attack: Of course, you think about it sometimes. Just a ½ a mile from my favorite break is where that man was attacked and killed by a great white a little over a year ago. About 3 weeks ago a contest was cancelled (for the 1st time) at San O’s trails because of sightings of 3 great whites over 10 ft. Then last week, Eric Geiselman, was attacked up in Santa Cruz and luckily made it in, but his board didn’t make the hit. For sure you think about it, it is their home and we are just privileged to use it as a playground everyday in the hopes we are never greeted by the true owners of the water park. YIKES! MA: Tell everyone about your home beach. Zac Attack: My local beach and favorite spot is Seaside Reef, located just at the end of Cardiff, CA. entering Solana Beach, CA. It rocks. There is surf consistently and it is still fun when it is small. When the reef is breaking you know we are in for some serious surfing and fun. Seaside is crazy good for many reasons. It is like a surfing resort with all the elements of perfect surf, perfect people and I couldn’t ask to live in a better place. MA: You ever get the chance to surf with any of the pros? Zac Attack: Yes, I am fortunate to get to surf with some of my favorite pros, as Seaside Reef is also home break to pro surfer and legend, Rob Machado. Rob has also done amazing things for our community through his surfing efforts and success. I also have surfed with Matt Beachum (host of New Pollution on Fuel TV), Damian Hobgood, and most recently got to surf with Julian Wilson and Dusty Payne. Totally cool! It is always inspiring to watch them throw some tail. I have probably surfed with Damian the most and Damian is fun. Damian and I like to swap boards every now and then, Damian likes to jump on my 4’4 fish- pretty sweet! He will pretty much jump on any board I have in the water and shred it up. Rob has let me take a float on his finless wood board too. I am pretty lucky to be surrounded by these great inspirations in the surfing world and community. Check out a fun surf session I did with Rob called Saw the Nose on www.youtube.com - type in INTboards and Saw the Nose should pop up. There is a little glimpse of me at Seaside with Rob. Seaside is a glimpse of heaven for many of my friends and surfers I admire and look up to. MA: What is your favorite move to throw in a contest that you know will score high with the judges? Zac Attack: Big vertical hits!! That is what the judges want to see. Each hit you get your score goes up, so a good way to think of it is one hit= 1 point + depending on the fluency and transition to the completion of the wave. More hits the better. Get sprays and fins out of the water is always good to up your score. But right now to hit the lip and finish the wave consistently is what I strive to accomplish. MA: Tell everyone about your favorite board. Do you have a name for it? Zac Attack: My “quiver” consist of many boards and I love them all, but my NEW Lost board-SD2 rocks! It was just shaped by Matt Biolos, who was just voted shaper of the year in Surfing Magazine, which feels like an honor at my age to have such a sick shaper, shaping my boards. I can really dig my rails in and carve up the wave like I never have before, so I am looking forward to the next couple of months with this board. My first wave on it, I was flying down the line and went for a vertical snap and all my fins came out- I didn’t land it but was thinking to myself did that just happen. Totally awesome feeling! MA: Tell us about all of your sponsors and why you dig them? Zac Attack: Monster Energy – Monster is awesome because they support Xtreme Sports and have awesome athletes. I am not able to drink the energy drinks, being 8 and all, but I LOVE all the Hansen’s Drinks. They taste delicious and are better for my growing, budding body. I also did the head bands and wrist bands. They are sick! I wear them while I surf, it is a totally good look in the water. Surfride - I LOVE Surfride, it feels like my second home, as it is located in my hometown and just a couple of blocks from my home break. John, the manager, is killer and so awesome, whenever I get a new board, he puts all my sponsors stickers on my boards for me so I am dialed for my events and to represent all my sponsors to the best of my ability. Surfride has many cool events too, like family night where we get to go and shop at a discount with music and food. Pretty awesome. Surfride is like having an extended family. Cobian – Because they have the SICKEST sandals and flip flops and John Cobian, owner, is just a killer dude. Bubble Gum – Well, not only does there branding and Logo rock, who doesn’t like BubbleGum? The wax smells crazy good. There is NOTHING like tearing off the paper of a new stick of BubbleGum wax and lubing up your new board. SWEETEST feeling ever and it just would exist without it! I also LOVE Brit Galland, owner, he has been sooo awesome in supporting my surfing commitment and efforts. We get to see each other a lot at Seaside. I do want to thank all of my sponsors for believing in me at such a young age and for supporting my surfing efforts with all that they do for me. I am truly thankful to them all! YOU ALL ROCK and MANY THANKS! You are the best and surfing would not be the same without you! MA: Where do you travel to for the contest? Zac Attack: We travel all over, it is rad. We get to go to Santa Cruz, Pismo, Morro bay, HB, Newport, Ponto and all the way to the boarder! I am looking forward to starting to travel out of state and abroad in the upcoming year and years. I can’t wait to surf Hawaii and dream of surfing Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Australia. MA: Ever been asked for an autograph yet? Zac Attack: Yes, I have, by my grandpa John. HAHA. But we did just have an artist do a killer board for him for his office, called the Zach “Attack” which I signed and mounted one of my sickest surfing photos to it! We are sending it to him for Christmas. SSSHHHHH! It is a secret. MA: How do you handle all your girl fans at school? Zac Attack: Girls are gross dude and my mom says the only women I have room for in my life is her and my sisters:J) MA: What are your goals for the 2010 season? Zac Attack: My goals for 2010 season are to make the NSSA Nationals and the WSA Championships. Making these events is a huge accomplishment. It means you have worked extremely hard throughout the year and are recognized for your hard work and efforts. I also plan to move up the ladder in my rankings. I have progressed overall since I have started and that is always a great sign of better things to come in my surfing future. *Thank you for taking the time to check me out and hope to see you in my local line up, Seaside Reef* Shocka- Zach “Attack” McCormick

hey guys, here is another update seeing as now im back in australia and back hard in the shovelling business.. i have been back in australia for the past 3 days and have spent most of my time in the 36 degree heat (98 f) digging on the yard. over the past 6 months the jumps have got a floggin. all of the run ups are erroded and clapped out so its gonna take a lot of time and effort to get the yard back to good condition. but within the next 4 weeks she should be back up and running. its a lot of work when doing it all solo.. but the end result is well worth it. speaking of which, im a head back out and keep at it.. the jumps arent gonna dig em selves...see pic for the trick set slowly getting done. late!

With the win Reed moved to within one point of series points leader Jay Marmont, 107-108, with two rounds remaining in the series – including this weekend’s Nov. 21st round at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton, New Zealand. And while Reed won, McGrath, who has Australian heritage on his mom’s side of the family, whipped the fans into a frenzy by topping Marmont by a split second for 2nd place in the Open class. “I felt great on the bike tonight and I was going for jumps that I haven’t been attempting at the other rounds,” noted Reed. “The atmosphere and crowd tonight were fantastic and it’s so good to have Jeremy out here racing. Building on Brock Hoyer's successful weekend at the opening rounds, the team looked to grab more spots on the podium and they didn't disappoint. With an extra week of seat time on his KX250F, Brady Sheren looked much more comfortable and ready to battle. He ran with the leaders all weekend and almost managed to win Friday night's MX2 main, coming across the line in second. He backed it up with a pair of fourths during Saturday's racing, just missing out on both podiums. With his return to form the team expects more big things as the series progresses. Hoyer again showed that he is one of the men to beat in the series as he ran up front all weekend. Donning the big number one plate on his KX450F he won both his heats on Friday. Unfortunately when the gate dropped for the MX2 main, Hoyer found himself on the ground. Remounting in last he put on a valiant charge to take fifth by the end of the race. Things faired better for him in the Open main as he grabbed the holeshot and put in a great three-way battle for the lead with Kyle Beaton and Dusty Klatt. Brock pulled through to take third at the finish line and currently sits second in points. The team's third rider, Kris Foster, put in a series of consistent rides with a 6th in Friday's Open main his best result. Canadian AX opener, Chilliwack B.C. Chilliwack, B.C., Canada, Nov. 6 & Nov. 7 The Canadian Arenacross consists of amateur and pro racing, where young and old can show their stuff on Chilliwack’s Heritage Park indoor racing track. Also included is the always-popular head to head racing; this intense format consists of two pro names drawn out of a hat to battle each other for one lap. Winners of the head to head advance their way to the final for a dash for cash. With the presence of such hotshots as Cole Siebler from AMA Supercross, it can be said that this year’s Areacross has drawn many of today’s top riders to see how they fair up against the budding Canadian talent. Round 1 MX2 Main: Brock Hoyer from Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki Team placed 2nd. Brock is one of the most consistent racers in this series and is looking to win himself a championship this year. Open Main: Had some very exiting action as racers battled hard and tight. In the end the Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki Team finished with Brock Hoyer 3rd, Brady Sheren 4th, and Kris Foster in 5th. To end with, Kris Foster, taking himself home an extra $506, dominated the head to head final. Round 2 MX2 Main: All the riders were so full of energy that some couldn’t wait to get out of the gate, Kyle Beaton and Brock Hoyer jumped the start and were docked several positions for this infraction; This put Kris Foster on the podium in 3rd. Open Main: This race brought out all the talent the facility was holding. The racers didn’t let off as they pushed their limits till the checkered flag. Brock Hoyer once again finished a well-earned 3rd place while his teammate Kris Foster finished 5th. Brock will also be looking to defend his last year’s title in the Open Class. Good start to the season for the Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki Team. The next Canadian Arenacross Championships will be held on Nov. 13th and 14th. See you there.

Monster Energy’s Dave Mirra kicked off the 2009 BMX competition season last at Chicago’s Dew Tour Nike 6.0 Open with one of the biggest wins of his career.By Pat Schutte More golden than any athlete in X Games history, it could be said that core BMXers began to question Mirra’s competition worthiness. Sure, he was still true to the sport with MirraCo Bikes, but did his focusing on rally chop him down several rungs on the BMX hierarchy ladder? We caught up with Mirra at re-lived his most excellent summer of BMX. From his back-on-the-map win at Chicago, to serious run at new school star Garrett Reynolds in Dew Tour BMX Park, Mirra checked in with Monster HQ the other day – a day after having some successful shoulder clean up surgery completed - and got us caught up on where things are at and where things are going with the most successful BMX competitor of all time. Monster Energy: Hey, man, let’s start off with that last Dew Tour round in Orlando. WHAT were you thinking on that back flip entry off the vert wall into the tranny? That had to be one of the nuttiest tricks we’ve ever seen! Dave Mirra: I actually did it in practice like eight times and it was dialed. I was excited about it, went to pull it in the finals and, I dunno, maybe was a little bit nervous or something. Didn’t pop the way I wanted it to, didn’t come around. My sight lines were off so my weight was ahead of my eyes I guess. Landed forward then and my foot came off and went straight to the ground.” Monster Energy: The crash didn’t look all that bad on TV, probably because the trick was sofa king burly to begin with. But sometimes those types can be the worst. Did that force you to play your hand in terms of the shoulder surgery you had yesterday? Dave Mirra: “No, I was already scheduled for surgery. If it was anytime to get hurt it would have been at Orlando.” Monster Energy: Correct us if we’re wrong, but we got the feeling that some people had written you off this summer. And I think the talk started last year, with people forgetting you were injured. “Mirra’s into rally now” or “the dude’s getting old.” Did that help motivate you to pull off the unreal summer that you had? Dave Mirra: “There was a few things that motivated me this year. I love riding, I love rally. I got a great family. I had to do some re-structures. Earlier this year I made up my mind to quit partying and start taking things more seriously. Ride for fun, which really helped me relax and have a better time with it and get better results. A lot of it was getting on a regiment and changing my lifestyle a little bit. Lived the other way for a long time and over the last ten years I’ve been telling myself I was going to retire within the next two years. So I figured out I was distracting myself with all the things outside BMX, and I could never break free from it, you know?” Monster Energy: Right or wrong, your season-opening win in Chicago stunned the BMX industry. Or maybe a better word is surprised. You’ve been on top of the podium more than any other action sports athlete. Will that win go down as one of your most memorable? Dave Mirra: “Yeah, you know what, with all the hard work I put in preparing for this year, what a better reward than to win at doing something you love, you know? So to win that was a huge, HUGE way for me getting started off on the right foot.” Monster Energy: If we remember right you wadded up in practice pretty bad at Chicago as well. Dave Mirra: “I got knocked out about an hour and a half before the event. If wouldn’t have rode the way I did and got 12th – that would have changed my whole year. I felt like ‘You know what, I did well – now it’s time for me to make the most of it.’ I was cool I was able to persevere, got back up and felt ‘This is more important to me – I want to ride.’ Told the head people at Dew Tour, ‘Hey, yeah, I probably shouldn’t ride. But if I can do better than two guys, that’s 10th place – which is two spots better than 12th. Live TV and I’ve got to be in the show.’ Went out and rode and won it – amazing.” Upcoming: GEICO AMA EnduroCross, presented by Monster, Nov. 21 (Vegas); “King of the Animal House,” Dave Mirra’s BMX invite, Dec. 11-12;

 | Ask anyone in actions sports “Who rules the vert ramp?” and “Jamie Bestwick” will be an immediate answer. This British import has raised the game of what riding vert is all about, and that’s translated into three AST Dew Tour titles in a row, multiple X Games gold medals, and every other accolade BMX can throw his way. While some riders do high airs, some have big tricks, and some have rad style, Bestwick wraps all three into a package that cannot be duplicated. Bestwick has been obliterating the competition for years, but from the rumors coming out of the action sports Mecca that is Camp Woodward, he has yet to pull out some of his biggest tricks in contests—because he hasn’t needed to. Hey errybody. Just got back from Guadalajara, Mexico. I was down there for the Copa International BMX contest. It was a blast. Here are some pictures: Mexican Monster rider Jorge Olveda. He KILLS It.
 My new crew. The chubby one was my favorite. We rode some wild ass spots This woman was BEGGING me for a Monster hat. She somehow found out my hotel room, called and woke me up at 7am one day saying El Sombrero a lot. I figured she needed one. I really like how she got sexy for the picture.

O’Neil Coldwater Classic, Tofino, B.C., Canada - Oct. 31, 2009 With stops in Tasmania, Scotland, South Africa, Canada and California the O’Neil Coldwater Classic is a five-stop surf event that spans the globe. Held for the first time in Canada the fourth stop of this year’s Classic was on the beautiful shores of Tofino, British Columbia. Hosted annually by the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP), one of the world's leading surf organizations, this experience is a World Series 6-Star surf event. The competition and Tofino’s spoils drew more than 120 top surfers from around the world for a chance to show their knowledge of these venerable waters. Hometown surfer and recently signed Monster Energy athlete Peter Devries entered this contest as a way to better himself and see where he stands along side the world’s best. Peter has competed in the past but has recently started to concentrate on refining his technique and building a career for himself as a “free rider”. As the event proceeded Peter was feeling at ease, as he was able to evade most of the pressure that comes along with competing internationally. Peter advanced his way to the finals beating out some of the world’s best surfers as he knocked out the imposing challengers heat after heat. With the beaches remarkably packed it seemed as though all of Tofino had called in sick to come out and cheer on their hometown hero. In the finals their victor was up against the great Australian surfer, Jay Thompson. Fast and rough, the waves were some of the most difficult to fare of the entire competition. Peter stuck to his game plan and rode the waves of his grom years as well as he could. As the final twenty-five minute heat came to an end and with Peter catching his final waves, he could not help but hear the crowd-filled beach cheering him on. The loud bustle of the fans was worthy as history was made twofold that day with Peter’s win; he accomplished both his first international victory and also became the first Canadian to win the O’Neil Coldwater Classic. Among many ecstatic locals, Peter’s friend and Monster Energy teammate Noah Cohan ran into the frigid waters to hoist up the Canadian Champion onto their shoulders. With Canadian flags waving and the champagne freely flowing this was understandably the most triumphant day in Peter’s career thus far. Good job Pete! Monster Energy applauds you!

 Ashton Pope
 SPORT: Motocross LOCATION: Miles, TX
CHECK OUT HER PROFILE
Monster Army: Ashton, you have been killing it this year racing. You are starting to set up yourself up for a good run at turning pro soon. Update everyone to some of your highlights over the last few years.
Ashton: The last couple of years I have been jumping around different series just trying them all out. Last year I won the National Enduro in Nevada. I have gotten top 5 in the Womens Pro/AA class in WORCS. Also took two 2nd’s from the OMA Nationals. MA: What is it like being a ripping teenage girl racer living in Texas? Ashton: Its has its advantages and disadvantages. I live in West Texas so I always have to travel really far for the races. But I get to ride year round and a lot of great tracks are within 3 hrs of my house. MA: Why is Texas heaven to any racer who wants to be pro one day? Ashton: In Texas you can ride all year round and don’t have to worry about snow or anything like that. Texas also has a lot of really great tracks. We also have a lot of fast riders here to look up to. MA: Describe your style of riding as you see it? Do you see yourself as more flowing or more aggressive? Give us some details. Ashton: I would say my style was more flowing but I am really trying to be more aggressive especially when it comes to moto. MA: Do you see being a girl as a help to you or does it make it harder to get sponsorship? Ashton: I think in some cases being a girl has its advantages over a guy. But guys can make a living at this sport , I think eventually it will get that way for the women too. Especially with awesome women riders we have out there today. MA: Tell us about your home town. What is it like? Ashton: I live in a small town called Miles. It is a farming community and there is only like 800 people in the town. I am the only one that rides in my town so I have to ride by myself a lot. Rodeo is really big here so a lot of people in my town think that racing dirtbikes is easy and stupid. MA: How did you become such a good rider? Run us thru when you first started to ride and who was your influence in getting started. Ashton: My dad was my biggest influence. I started to ride when I was 12 years old. It just started out as a weekend thing, then my dad built me a track at my house. He started working with me. I ride at least 3 times during the week and every time I would go out there and ride he would be out there coaching me and helping me get better and still does. So I have to give a lot of credit to my dad for my helping me as much as he does. MA: I know a lot of riders who live in Texas have enough land around their house they can ride daily. Can you ride your moto at your house? Ashton: Yes! Since I live in a farm town there is nothing but fields around me. I have a small arenacross track, a corner track and also made some trails in my pasture. Its really nice just pull your bike out of your garage and go ride. MA: Besides all the free product you get, what is the best part about being a good rider? Ashton: I think the best part is all the people you meet throughout the years and places I travel to go race. Also representing a company like Monster is something to really be proud of. MA: I know you have ridden many styles moto. What is your favorite to compete in? Ashton: I really love riding moto and offroad. So the races that combine the two are my favorite. MA: How do you find the needed time with school and homework to continue to progress your riding? Ashton: I just learned how to balance it all. I also have a part time job at Gold’s Gym in San angelo, which is 20 min from my house. I work in the mornings, come home in the afternoons to ride and work out then do my homework at night. Except Tuesday and Thursdays cause that’s when I have all my classes set up on those days. MA: What are you goals for the 2010 season? Ashton: To finish top 5 at every round of WORCS next year in the Women’s Pro/AA class and hopefully to get into the WMA and run all the rounds.

Championship Showdown from Las Vegas, NV. Epid Battles for the Titles by the Best Off Road Racers on Earth - Action Sports Meets Motorsports! A Cage Fight on Four Wheels - Motocross with Full Contact, 800 HP Trucks With Special Guest Correspondent Three-Time NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson TUNE IN TO SEE WHAT PEOPLE ARE CALLING THE BEST OFF ROAD RACE OF ALL TIME ABC NETWORK SUNDAY, NOV. 8, 2009 1:30 PM EASTERN/10:30 AM PACIFIC Produced by Paul Taublieb/Media X International, Inc. (MXi) Here's a Preview of the Action:
(Nov. 1, 2009, For Immediate Release) The best off road truck racers on the planet converged at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to lay it on the line and turn their 800 HP trucks loose in a no-holds-barred battle to secure their championships after a season-long fifteen rounds of the most intense short course racing on earth, with titles and first-time victories up for grabs right down to the last laps. Ricky "Bad Boy" Johnson was up against his rival and nemesis, the slick veteran Rob MacCacharen in the ultra competitive Pro 2 wheel drive class, with young gun Todd LeDuc also with a shot at the championship, along with two-wheel legend Jeremy McGrath thirsting for his first win. To have a shot at the trophy, motocross icon Johnson would have to lead flag-to-flag, and he hit the track with only "win or wreck" on his mind. In the Pro Lights, the most dominating driver in class history, Jeff Kincaid, in his division swan song as he moves up to Pro 2 in 2010, only needed to be strong and solid. But he was up against a challenging track, and the likes of upstart Monster Energy's Casey Currie, as well as the Metal Mulisha's Brian Deegan, both hungry and willing to do whatever it took to stand on top of the podium. The heavyweight division is the dirt-grinding Pro 4 Wheel Drive, and Monster Energy's Rick Huseman cruised into Vegas in command - but be not misled into thinking this meant anything except what many are calling the most intense, competitive and unpredictable race in the sport's history - including exploding cars, drivers racing blind, trucks crawling on trucks, all leading to season-ending, heart-stoppping one-lap shootout which no one could have predicted. It was a truly historic way to finish the extraordinary innagural season of the Traxxas TORC off road series. This is one race you simply do not want to miss. Supporing TORC is former off road racer, three time NASCAR Champion, and current Chase for the Spring Cup leader, Jimmie Johnson, joining the ABC telecast as special technical reporter. Mark you calendars or set your DVR's - Sunday, Nov. 8, 1:30 PM Eastern/10:30 AM Pacific - ABC For further information about the Traxxas TORC Off Road Series, presented by AMSOIL, the premier and most intense short course off road racing series in the world, featuring the best drivers on the planet, go to www.torcseries.com. TORC will return in 2010 with an expanded schedule and enhanced television coverage. Television coverage of the TORC series is produced by Paul Taublieb and Malibu, CA-based Media X International, Inc. (MXi), a pioneering live event and television production company bringing cutting-edge action sports-style coverage to traditional motorsports. MXi also serves as Moto X Sport Organizer for the ESPN X Games and has produced award-winning television shows, documentaries and branded entertainment, and is also partner with Rob Dyrdek on the groundbreaking real-time scoring system for action sports, ISX - The Instant Scoring eXperience (www.isxscoring.com).

That's right everyone, winter has arrived! It snowed for the first time at my house in Northern Minnesota on Friday night. That afternoon, I was riding moto and within a two hour span it went from sunny and warm to a snow storm! We got somewhere between two and three inches. It was snowing and blowing like crazy all night. Saturday morning, I drove to the cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) and the roads were pure ice. Winter came fast this year. Hopefully everyone is getting excited to ride and are in their local dealerships checking out the new sleds and gear!
On Sunday morning, I snuck in a mountain bike ride with my friend John. I rode a new trail in Eagan called Lebanon Hills and had a really good time. Last night, Minneapolis got its first snow. Here's a picture of me measuring it this morning. Exciting stuff! Photo By: John Sandberg
