Overview

How I got started

I started racing October 2002 at the age of 10 in the 65cc class and had the MX bug bad from the very start.  2003 I rode and raced everywhere, from local to Loretta's 40+ weekends and did the same in 2004.  The year 2005 started with a bang, my family relocated to North Carolina from Louisiana so I could take my racing to the next level.  June of 2005 I had a serious crash at the NE Regional at Steel City Penn. resulting in a severe concussion that ended my MX career.  2007 I found harescrambles and was able to return to a different  kind of racing.  2008 was my second season back  and my first full season  as a  harescramble racer.  I've had a very good year, finishing 1st overall in the SETRA 200cc Schoolboy class, with 11 wins to sweep the series including 3 overalls.  The GNCC series gave me my first national championship, with 7 wins and 2 seconds I  became the 200cc Schoolboy 2008 national champion!

Goals for the Future

I'm very excited about the 2009 season, I'm moving from KTM to Yamaha.  I have gained some valuable help, assistance, and knowledge  from KTM World of Cedartown,Georgia in 2008. I would like to say thanks for everything they did to help me get to the next level.  2009 is going to be my year!!!  My family has made the commitment to get me to the next level again, but this time with more knowledge, focus, and dedication!  2009 I am being homeschooled, also  pro rider Johnny Barber  has set me up with a full fledged riding, training, and nutrition program.  I also have a training partner now, Robert Kondik of Florida has moved in and will be training with me for the 2009 season.  With all this groundwork being laid out for me I am pleased to say my 2009 goals are already coming true.  I  will be a member of the Yamaha/Team Off Camber Racing featuring several GNCC national champs and Amanda Mastin ISDE Womens World  Team champ.  The wealth of knowledge this team has will help me go for  the national championship in the 250-B  2 stroke class for the GNCC's.

Bio

I  live in Hayesville, NC, that's in the western part of the state in the mountains.  I moved here January 2005 from Louisiana and really like it.  I am 16 years old and in the 11 grade and this is my first year to homeschool. There is a lot more racing here on the east coast than back in La. especially enduros and harescrambles.  I learned a lot in 3 years of racing , but I learned even more in 2005  about having to give up something you love, motorcross racing.  I had no knowledge of harescrambles before moving to North Carolina, but with the severe injury I sustained in June 2005, I have grown to appreciate other forms of motorcycle  racing competition.  Harescrambles have given me a second chance at racing .
