Overview

How I got started

I got a 1989 Yamaha YZ 80 when I was 14 years old and would ride for fun until my cousin and I went to a local race one day and that was it I have been racing ever sense. That was nine years ago and to this day I still ride for the same reason, fun and I never loose sight of that.

Goals for the Future

Next season I would like to race the NEMX spring series and the NESC fall series and make a few canadan nationals in between. I would also like to make it to the mini O`s and loretta lyanns. above all of this I want to keep it fun because that is why I do what I do becouse I love this sport.

Bio

Why do you like this sport?

This sport has so much to offer but the one thing that stands out in my mind is the people involved in the sport. I have met so many nice people through out the years I have been racing and how much they are willing to help each other out no matter what. I have had my share of bad luck racing but weather it be a tube to fix a flat tire or a borowed bike to finish a moto for an overall finish in a championship hunt someone has been there to help out. Racing is fun but the people in the sport is what makes it what it is.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Yes I do train. Up until two years ago I never took taining seriousely. I would just ride a few days a week and go racing on the weekends. now I have done a few national type events and it took a few bad beatings to understand that it was no fun to come off the track and almost pass out because of exaustion. I knew it was eather tain of quit. Today my schedule goes like this. monday a light workout and rest Tuesday Ride day Wednesday Ride day/ weight training Thursday Ride day Friday Bicycle ride/ and or a run Saturday Rest day Sunday Race day

Why do you compete?

when I first started racing it was for fun but as I got older and life got more complacated I used racing as a stress releaver because every time I through a leg over a bike nothing else mattered except going fast. I guess it helped me get through some rough times in life. Now it is back to where I started, its about fun and to see how far I can push myself over what an average person would call the edge, I would call it the next level. I am all about hard work and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. winning is great but as long as I put in 100% and had fun doing it I am happy.

Schools Attended

I graduated from middlebury high school in 2001, I took a year off after that to work and race. After a year I realized I wanted to work in the motorcycle industry so I decided to attend Motorcycle Mechanics Insititute in Orlando Florida. After about a year and a half I graduated with a 3.7 GPA

Employment / Experience Summary

I now work at a local Yamaha dealership as a technician. I want to continue working locally until I decide I don`t want to race at a high level anymore, than I would like to get a job as a factory tech and travel alot more.
