Overview

How I got started

I received my first dirtbike, an XR-80 as a graduation present and instantly I developed a love for the sport and wanted to race. We purchased a YZ-80 a few weeks later and raced that weekend, the rest is history.

Goals for the Future

I will be training for my first cycling event, as well as to gain strength for motocross. I will be racing the eastern stops of the 2008 CMRC MX1 pro nationals, my goals are to finish top 20 in the national events, top 5 in the provincial events, and win any local TVR events.

I am currently in College for Mechanical Engineering Design and once graduated I will be on one step closer to my goal of being a Commercial Airline Pilot, as I currently have my private pilots licence.

Bio

Some Personal Information About Me:

I enjoy riding dirtbikes and practice often each week at home or at local tracks, and Michigan tracks such as Baja and Freelin. I have a professionally built ten acre motocross track in my backyard as well as an arenacross track. I have been able to improve my skills and results consistently by being dedicated and practicing for at least an hour every day of the week. My mother and sister both race in the Ladies class so our family is fully involved in the sport of motocross.

Describe your style...

I am small so i try to be a smooth and precise rider. I like to take calculated risks and ride with my head alot more than my right hand and focus on finding the best lines, and just flowing with the track. I am more of a technical rider because the tracks I have grown up with are more supercross than outdoor style tracks. Alot of people around the track have compared my riding style to Michael Byrne

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

My traing program consists of biking and/or running five days per week, with weights rotating between two and three days per week. I also try to ride every day of the week. If you would like to see a detailed copy of my training program, please contact me.

Why do you compete?

I compete to win. I enjoy the spirit of competition and working to improve myself as a racer and as a person. It is an amazing feeling to win, and it is what drives me to train and practice during the week and to give 100% every time I ride.
