Racing photos are available to veiw and buy on this website. Excellent photography.

What a day. The weather was tolerable, until the leathers went on. That being said it was a good day for racing.

In the first round I went up against a Harley Davidson. His dial in time was 19.42. Mine was 9.93. Needless to say it was agonizing sitting there fo 10 seconds waiting for my light. I red lighted by
-.002.

Fortunately if you lose in the first round at Atlanta Dragway you have the option of buying back in. I am against this practice, seeing as I am in first place for the points I used the option in the hopes of going on and getting more points.

In the next round I went up against a GSXR 1000. He red lighted so I won that. The next round I got a bye, so that was a win.

In the last round I had to go back up against the Harley.

I cut a .016 light to his .023. By the time he got to the 1/8 mile mark I was able to leave. I flew by him about 100 feet from the end of the track and let off the throttle. Unfortunately it was not enough. I ran a 9.846 @ 133.25 on a 9.90 dial in and he took the win.

I hate to lose that way, thats racing...

Tough weekend. Ran my best 1/4 so far at 9.813 @ 140.95mph. The temperature on both days was 95 - 98 degrees. Saturday had a little breeze to keep things at a comfortable blast furnace level, Sunday was w/o wind so you just plain melted. The track was 115 degrees and the regular asphalt was 120. Tire pressure increased 3 lbs from the heat. This is the kind of weather everyone wants to wear full leathers in.

In my first race on Saturday of Pro ET I basically got stomped in the first round. I cut a .078 light while my opponent cut a .018. I ended up running a 10.058 on a 9.95 dial in. I lost by .245 of a second.

On Sunday in the 2nd Pro ET race I had an easy win, the other racer`s bike broke at the line, so I had a solo run. Good thing too, because I had a bad light .233 reaction time and I ran a 10.4 1/4 on a 9.95 dial in.

Next was my first Street ET run, I had to drive directly back to the starting line w/o cooling the bike down. I cut an .044 light and ran a 9.96 on a 9.95 dial in. I tapped the brakes just before the finish line to keep from breaking out.

On my 2nd Pro ET run I red lighted by -.086. Talk about jumping the gun.

The 2nd Street ET I lost by .11 of a second. I had a good light of . 074 and ran a 9.999 on a 9.95 dial in. Unfortunately because I go from one race to the next, I did not let air out of my tire. The heat caused it to go up 2 lbs. which caused me to spin the tire through 1st gear.

Needless to say I got to go home early.

The race held on May 17th was rained out in the finals for the last 3 competitors, myself being one of them. It was decided to finish this race on June 17th. This decision was changed by the track on 6/6/06. The link below has the offical announcement.

Personnaly I would have preferred to finish it.
