The Dirt on Reese

My parents got me a CRF50 for Christmas. It was so much fun to ride. I quickly grew out of the CRF50, so in the Spring of 2007, I got a KLX110. Riding was my favorite thing to do. My mom or dad would take me to ride once or twice a month during the summer.

There was a pit bike race at Carnegie that my parents thought I would enjoy. They were right. I loved the thrill of the competition! I felt so alive!

My grandma went to one of my pit bike races and said that my bike was too slow; after seeing how fast the 65cc and 85cc bikes can go. She helped me buy a used KX65 in November 2007. Even though I wasn’t ready for competition, I raced the 65cc Beginner class a few weeks after learning how to ride it. Learning to adjust to a clutch and a 2-stroke would take some time.

For me, each race is a learning experience. I feel so lucky that my family supports my passion for riding and racing dirt bikes.
