In October of 2006 my Son and I found out that there was going to be a weekend of racing at the arena near us. I have been a big fan for most of my life and have always enjoyed watching either races or free style on TV.
My Son whose main passion is skateboarding asked me why if I really loved something then why not commit to it and take a chance. After much deliberation and few raised eye brows from my family I made a pact with my Son. Our agreement is that I will fully commit and take a chance with Motocross, if he will follow his heart and do the same with skateboarding.
In the spring of 2007 I began working out and getting physically in shape and prepared. In August, purchased a new 2007 CRF250R.
Winning for me does not mean necessarily winning the race for me, but rather simply becoming good enough and conditioned enough to ride well and finish races with a decent time. To actually be out there, doing what I want to do and doing it well is victory enough for me.
