The surgery on my saliva gland went well it was a lot more swollen then the doctor thought ... That meant a longer surgery time.. turns out it took them 3 hours to get the gland out it was suppose to be 45 to 90 minutes at the longest . They did not do any nerve damage and it looks like the only damage to my nerves is to the left half of my tongue, and that is from the swollen gland, so when i talk i sound messed up it is easier for me to txt people then talk to them right now and eating is kind of a challenge as i have to make sure that it is all on the right side of my mouth as the tongue is having trouble cooperating with the left side. I will have a pic up of my scar have a feeling it is going to look pretty kewl, but we will see.

surgery today to remove the saliva gland that was giving me trouble what was suppose to be an easy surgery tuned into a long ordeal guess they had to give me blood pressure medication as my heart had some spikes while they were cutting that gland out also the surgeon had to deal with some unexpected scar tissue as well as swelling that was not planed for so i went in around 11am and i think i came out around 1 ish...so now onto to healing the body so that i can ride soon hopeing to be on the bike later this week......

trails here in Oregon close with the rainy season... so i am regulated to gravel roads and gravel roads... until April when the ground starts to dry out and then i can get back onto single track ..... the hiss and crunch of the wet gravel was great...... to my surprise on the crest of the hill overlooking finely refuge my son pulled up next to me ... we had a nice decent and were surrounded by the honking of the geese that winter on the refuge ..... Minutes later we found a tiny hidden water fall that we never would have seen in a car,, seconds later we were treated to the sight of 20 or so ducks as they took off the water... As we rode on McFarland we spooked a blue heron up out of the marsh, and later we spooked a red tail hawk off a sign.... Then we saw the gray curtain that we were riding into..... ya we had been riding in a slight drizzle but the was going to change
