Why do you like this sport?
Why would'nt I like this sport would probably be a better statement. Drag Racing is indescribable. Its not just an adrenaline rush, or a hobby, or even just a sport. Its much more than that to me. I have been around it all of my life, so its basically all I know. I wake up in the morning thinking about it and go to bed dreaming about it. The smells, the feel, the people, it can't get much better. When im in the seat of my car, there is no other place id rather be for that 5 seconds.
What inspires you to compete?
Shirley Muldowney, the first lady of drag racing. If it were'nt for her, I probably wouldnt be able to do this. She has paved a way for many women involved in this sport. My family is also an inspiration. They have stood behind me, and supported every single thing I do.
Some Personal Information About Me:
Im a pretty simple gal, Texas born & raised. I love fashion & shopping. Favorite color is pink :) Oldest sister out of 3. I drive a 1976 Ford Maverick, its not just my car - its my baby. My Dad and I have restored it and I often enter a few car shows. Family is a very important part of my life. In this past year I've come to realize that you should Live each day as if its your last. If you have a goal or dream, go for it. Do everything to get there before life passes you by.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Im currently in college majoring in Business/Marketing to further my carreer as a drag racer. If I move out of super comp, I plan to either drive a pro mod or top alcohol funny car/dragster.
Do you like to travel? What's your best (clean) road trip story?
I love to travel, especially for racing. Ive been from texas to cali, to kansas, to tennessee. I hope to make it to the east coast for the 09 season. My first time to cali had to be one of the best road trips ever, it was such a shock to see all of the different places such as the grand canyon, hoover dam, vegas.
