Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

My brother use to race as well and he just got me going with the sport he helped me buy my first bike and pretty much got me going with everything.

List your competitive highlights:

In 09 we were racing in Price, Utah the 1st moto I had a good start in the 2nd corner someone went down right in front of me I got stuck on there bike I didn't go down when I got going I was almost last and ended up racing back to 9 it was the most aggressive I have road then it started raining about an hr before the second moto so it was muddy soupy and crazy I had a good start again and just focused on staying up and finishing it paid off cause I ended up 2nd and got 5th overall it was a great weekend. Another one was battling my friend Taylor in both motos in Salmon it was an awesome race and also winning the Lites Jr. and Open Jr. championships in 2008.

What are you planning for next season?

I'm moving up to a 450f for the 2010 season I'll still be riding a 250f we moved to the WWN in 09 it's a very fast series so I would like to get back up to finishing in the top 5 every weekend and also I'm going for both the 250f and 450f class championships.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Moving up to a 450 at the end of 09 it felt great knowing that my skill level is high that I can handle a 450 and they are amazing to but can get you in alot of trouble at the same time. Moving to a faster series and still finishing in the top 10 in both classes that I race in, Winning the 125 beginner class the first year I raced. Also winning the Lites Jr. and Open Jr. championships my rookie year in the Jr. class in 2008.

Q&A - Favorites

  • Favorite Car: Mitsubishi lancer or a BMW if I'm ever crazy rich I'll have a few BMWs
  • Favorite Magazine: Trans World Motocross
  • Favorite Movie: The Hangover. The great outdoors!
  • Favorite Trick: hmm I donno I don't really have one but probably the hillclicker cause I can do it.
  • Favorite Event: Anything that has to do with motocross
  • Favorite Rider: Ryan Villopoto!

Q&A - Personal

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

uh well we were in Preston, ID in 09 I was coming into a corner some kid landed on someone next to me in it all ended up taking me out it was right in front of the were every one watchs I gathered myself and got going right after that there's a double double section with a right hander the has an inside roller I did the section and as I went through the corner I pushed a little to wide and hit a tire I was like man I cant even make it like 50 yards without hitting the ground and then to top it all off on the last lap I grab a little to much front brake and waded it up right in front of everyone again it was pretty lame!

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

During the winter we get snow so I spend alot of time in the gym on a cycle I go about 3 times a week cause we do go south a few times through the winter for races. In the summer I make it to the gym normally once a week if I don't get there were have an alright home gym I make it there more, I ride 4 to 5 times a week if I don't have a race I'll take the weekend off and relax a little. but consistently I ride 5 days a week and hit the home gym 3 times.

Describe your style...

well if you would have asked me that at the start of the 09 season I would have said pretty conservative but at getting through the 09 season I would say very aggressive and on the edge alot of people say I look alot like Villopoto did on he's 250f but I don't think RV was always out on the edge unless he needed to be and I'm alot like that. I ride smart but I let it go we I need which is seems to be alot when you race in the WWN.

Why do you like this sport?

Because I'm with my friends and family having fun doing what I love, and the people in the sport treat you like your family when you need an extra part or something.

Music?

A little of everything I don't really stick with one thing it just depends on my mood but I don't like country at all!
