ABOUT ME

I found my love for racing while going to Lebanon Valley Speedway every Saturday with my friends. Seeing those cars on the dirt, the excitement it brought made it easy to see, I needed to race someday. In 2000, my father sponsored a driver at Whip city Speedway a dirt track in Westfield, Ma and I knew these were the cars I wanted to race. I started with a starter car and a man who believed in me and what I could do.I had a great time and a good first season. I got my first win over a 8 year veteran and after that I knew, I could only get better. I had many top 10 finishes and placed in the top 10 in the point standings. After 3 years, it was time to get serious. I purchased a 2007 Bailey  chassis and joined up with Haskell Motorsports. In that first year, I had many top 10 finishes and over 3 feature wins. I've since then have moved up to the 750 A division, where the competition is tougher and the pace is faster. It's made me a better driver. The 2009 season ended well for me, I ended up 4th in the point standings out of 14 running cars and had 2 feature wins, which not too many get their first year in this division. It was never easy, but you always needed to drive harder each week. Racing is my escape and my love and I'm so glad I was introduced to it. Someday, I'd love the Opportunity to race a full size sprint for a team.

Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

back in '01 my dad sponsored a driver after going to the track and seeing these cars, I was totally hooked

List your competitive highlights:

my 1st season I had 5 top five finishes, 4 2nd place finishes and 5 top 3rd finishes. lowest was 5th (out of 12 cars).I finished 7th in points

What are you planning for next season?

moving up from the sportsman to the 750 A division difference from what I did? better drivers, more competition

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

I would have to say this season, because I was always a target for the guys on the track. but they NEVER broke me! I can take it on and off the track. I have never been a quitter or someone who cant take the "heat" and I showed that this season. Thats a huge accomplishment to me

Q&A - Personal

What inspires you to compete?

the intensity, going fast and knowing I'm a woman in a man's sport, showing I can drive just as good if not better than them.

Why do you compete?

for the love of the sport. I believe in a different aspect of "winning". My wins are all personal. It's not always about the trophy, the pictures or even the glory of the moment. To me it's all about the pride you take in yourself when your out there competing

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I know what I run is not NASCAR, but you still need a good amount of upper body strength to run, especially with a rough track. I workout 3 times a week, doing machines and free weights

Some Personal Information About Me:

off the track? I love to roam the pits and be with all of my fellow drivers, even my competitors. But on the track? it's all business, you have no friends out there
