I was 9th at chile which got me some ITU points and i won the wildman race. I am fit and ready to rock here in a couple weeks at nationals. I am racing at ST A's, the OK PATCO ITU Champs (or somethin or other, its a big long name), Military Nationals, Kansas 70.3, and probably Life time fitness. We shall see what other races i do, but these are pretty locked down.
I will be graduating soon so hopefully get a full summer of races and training in before i have to report for some army training Aug 2. Well if you see me at a race make sure to come up and say whats up or somethin.
-Nick
"Tri or Die Tryin"
http://www.loopd.com/members/NickVandam/blog.aspx?resourceId=402c90df-34f8-4d59-826e-d05db101487fTue, 24 Mar 2009 06:58:23 GMTif you want to ride the best bikes in the world ch...if you want to ride the best bikes in the world check out serotta.comhttp://www.loopd.com/members/NickVandam/blog.aspx?euid=fe0bb250-2278-45c7-8661-c8793be93088Mon, 13 Oct 2008 13:23:15 GMTdone with the season Well the season finished about 3 weeks ago for me. it ended well and i was happy with how i ended up. I started the season with no base in running or biking and just having swam a lot. So I think my results ended up pretty good considering everything.
I learned a lot about triathlon this past season. From how to handle traveling internationally and nationally on a fairly regular basis and still racing well to my race nutrition. I also learned how to handle my defeats and failures. I believe that it is critical for any athlete to learn how to triumph over defeat. The path to success in any sport and in life is riddled with failures its all about how one reacts to those failures. Micheal Jordan puts it pretty well www.youtube.com/watch
So the off season is here and now its time to let go of all my success and failures and build myself up and get ready for Worlds and Collegiate nationalshttp://www.loopd.com/members/NickVandam/blog.aspx?resourceId=05193c6a-fc2e-4bbc-9146-1229be2dfc81Thu, 18 Oct 2007 09:58:37 GMT
