Sunday, May 27: crankbrothers athletes Bryn Atkinson (GT) and Sabrina Jonnier (Monster/Ironhorse) are champions of the 2007 US Open of Mountain Biking. what can we say other than crankbrothers/santa cruz syndicate rider steve peat rules the downhill in lisbon. peaty won the unique dh event for the 6th year in a row, obliterating the nearest competitor by 2.624 seconds!

paul basagoitia wins in madrid

the final runs of the top twelve riders at the madrid stop of the qashqai urban challenge were absolutely off the charts. riders were tricking lines that had previously not been attempted, and at the end of the day, crankbrothers rider/kona klump team member paul basagoitia came out on top.

nmbs #1 : race report

crankbrothers athletes are off to a great start this season. canadian geoff kabush took 1st at the national mountain bike series #1 in both the xc and short course events. other crankbrothers riders like todd wells took second in both, and "jhk" finished in the top 5 of each event and won the time trial. for women, mary mcconneloug took 2nd with heather irminger in 8th and alison sydor in 10th in the xc event. in womens short track, alison took 2nd, and heather finished 5th. next stop on the nmbs tour is fontana, california.

congratulations to crankbrothers athletes racing in in this inaugural endurance event. in the womens' race, pua sawicki took 1st and rebecca rush finished 3rd. nat ross won for the men, while tinker juarez also took 3rd.
