They had a pretty crazy finish line double/triple, but they ended up knocking down the triple before practice even started. I can't say I was real impressed with the start they set up either. The track was pretty good in my first practice session, it was wet and had some traction. I felt good and rode ok. My second practice the track was totally dry and beat up. So it was really just get through it and don't crash. In my heat, I got a great jump but wheeled about half way down and when I dropped the front end my great jump turned into a bad start. I ended up finishing 14th in my heat. In the LCQ I ended up finishing 12th. The main event turned out pretty crazy for both the Lites and the SX classes. So SX 2007 is done and now it is time to go race outdoors. Brad
http://www.loopd.com/members/bradgraham/blog.aspx?resourceId=9d9d0da7-0d24-41f3-b0dd-d1c7c3d6ad24Sun, 13 May 2007 16:21:19 GMTSeattle SX LitesAfter 9 weeks off while the East ran their series, finally it was time to finish up the West in Seattle. I was looking forward to getting back racing. The weather was great (for Seattle). Practice went good, but the track started to rut up fast. I qualified for the night program. In my heat I had an ok start and ended up finishing 7th, qualifiying for the main event. The ruts were getting deeper. In the main event, I got the best main event start I had all year, but got a little messed up in the ruts in a rhythm section and lost some positions. After that I just tried to stay smooth and start working up. A few laps later I clipped a hay bale in a rut and went down and lost alot of positions. I got up and just rode and ended up finishing 17th overall. That gave me some more points and I was going to Las Vegas.http://www.loopd.com/members/bradgraham/blog.aspx?resourceId=30fae284-8d4b-4f0f-a6a0-fe231b6d4e40Sun, 13 May 2007 16:08:58 GMTBack riding - awesome!I started back riding yesterday. It felt good to be back riding and no pain. Thanks big time go to my trainer Brian for working with me the last 3 weeks. Now it's time to get ready for the last 2 SX Lites races and then the Outdoor Nationals. Unfortnately it did't last. I injured my leg in my first practice session and couldn't go out for my second session. I rested my leg, iced it and went over to the Mobile Asterisk rig. They fixed me up pretty good. They put a muscle stimulator on my leg, taped it up great and gave me a shot in the "back side". After a couple of hours I felt good, not much pain and I was ready for my night qualifier. I got a great start and then, wham a big first turn pile up. I ended up having to jump off my bike onto my sore leg and that was pretty much it for the night. After that I couldn't lift my leg or put any weight on it. So I was done for the night. I have rested it and have been going to my trainer and working out. I would like to thank the Mobile Asterisk rig for taking care of me, my trainer Brain for helping me out, and the crew at Tamer Motorsports Kawasaki for getting everything to the races.
