As a follow up to our re-focus as "a place for athletes" we just launched a new section on Loop'd that everyone should be pretty stoked on - the new Promote Yourself section. Grab a button, badge or your rss feed and run it on your other social networks.

Thank you to everyone for your candid feedback. My response is kind of long, but I hope you read through it.

Change is never easy, but we do so with your best interests in mind. We have been working with some of you for as long as the past 6 years since we started way back in 2001. As former athletes ourselves, our goal has ALWAYS been to help you guys connect with sponsors. As the site evolved, we gave you more ways to promote yourself and your sponsors.

Loop'd is merely the next step in our evolution and yet another way to help you promote yourself and your sponsors. Social networking has become a powerful way for people to connect and wasn't even a term that anyone used when we launched SponsorHouse in 2001. As the number of people on SponsorHouse grew from just 600 motocross riders in the first year to nearly 200,000 now, you requested more ways to connect with not only sponsors, but each other. Last year, we released a major upgrade to our system to help accomplish this. This year, we returned the focus on SponsorHouse to a sponsorship service and launched Loop’d as a new sports network for athletes, fans and companies to connect and interact about everything other than sponsorship.

No!! We did not sell out! Loop’d is SponsorHouse and SponsorHouse is Loop’d. It’s the same crew working endless hours to innovate ways to help you guys promote yourself and your sponsors.

Lastly, in response to a couple questions out there...

1) We have gotten a lot of requests for the Print Resume feature and have been looking into adding it.

2) There are some issues with the navigation sending you into Loop'd, and no easy way to get back to your SponsorHouse account. We will be taking care of this along with some other fixes this Wednesday (9/24). In the meantime, just hover over the ‘My Communities’ tab on the Loop’d nav bar and SponsorHouse will be there.

3) All of the old results from before 10/15/2006 were not lost, they were added to the results page for your sponsors to see them.

4) If you have sponsors that you got outside of SponsorHouse, you can add them to your profile by going to Add Content ] Text / HTML. If you have a logo, you can place it here. Otherwise, you can add their name with a link to their website.

We made some major improvements to the site today based on all of your feedback. Take a look...

For Everyone:

Mailbox and Friend Request Improvements
We completely redesigned the mailbox and management of Friend Requests. You can now accept 15 friend requests at one time and delete multiple messages. Now you have no excuse to get out there and build your network.

Email Notifications
We added to the email notifications, so you'll be getting a message every time you get a sponsorship offer, new friend requests or messages to the site. We'll soon be adding some more notifications... like every time a new sponsor is added to the site that you are eligible for.

For Sponsors:

Contract Templates
Management of contract templates just got a whole lot easier for sponsors. Contracts templates can now be edited. Contracts can also be edited when they are sent out to athletes.

Sponsorship Application Management
We added the Athletes contact card to to the application results, so that sponsors can view contact information and sponsorship history.

Stay Tuned for Next Weeks Updates...

Among other things, we will be releasing a 'Broadcast' feature that allows you to send a message to everyone in your network (friends, sponsors, etc.). We will also be releasing some changes to classes and results, so you can add your own classes. Should be a great week!

Sponsorship Update... Read This Please

Hi Everyone,

As you may know, we launched the new SponsorHouse yesterday without any sponsorship tools. We wanted to take this opportunity to give you an update and let you know what’s going on.

We know that for most of you, it is the middle of sponsorship season and there are still a lot of requests to send and sponsorships to renew. We assure you that you will love the new sponsorship tools and you will not lose out on any opportunities. We are working around the clock to launch the new sponsorship tools as soon as possible.

Please Read Carefully:

· ALL sponsorship requests, contracts and offers WILL be available and unchanged on the new site

· Sponsorship offers that have expired within the past week WILL BE RESET to expire on 10/31

· Sponsorship listings that were closing between 10/12 - 10/25 WILL BE EXTENDED until 10/31

· Sponsor shops WILL BE UP after we launch sponsorship

Please be aware of the following:

All sponsors on SponsorHouse have been notified of the delay and any listings or offers that are set to expire this week will be extended a full week after the sponsorship tools are added to the site.

In the meantime…

Please take this opportunity to check out the new customization tools we have added to the profile builder. Click on “my profile” and start exploring! You can now search for places and events too. Add your event schedule to your profile, find new places in your area and send us feedback on the new site!

The NEW SponsorHouse

The new site is finally up and running as of today at 9am. We're just winding down from a long day of tweaking and a couple bug fixes. Overall, it has not been that bad. Over the next few days, we'll be working on dialing the site speed and getting sponsorship up and running. We wanted to give everyone a couple days to get used to all of the other new features before unveiling the new sponsorship tools. Don' worry, you won't lose any sponsorship information in the transfer.

We are all super excited about the new features that we just released a couple days ago. With these new additions you are able to Promote Yourself and promote your sponsors better then ever before. The first two features that you should really get a handle on is the add to friends and video functions. Add Friends, grow your network Know some riders on SponsorHouse already? Look them up, view their profile and send them a friend request. Once they accept, you can send messages through the house. The benefits: 1) The more friends you have on SponsorHouse, the more places a link to your profile shows up. 2) Sponsors tend to value riders that have a solid circle of friends... the more people you know, the more people you can talk to about your sponsors, right? Add Video Got Video? Add it to your profile. Learn how in the resources section... Click Here We`ll have an article on filming and editing your own video shortly. These two things alone will be huge for helping you to secure better sponsorship.

As you can probably see, we are throwing out some new features and improvements on the site every couple of weeks now. We hope everyone is enjoying the changes.
