Jeff
Blackmore has been in the market for a new bike and
had researched the Nomad. Hearing that the demo was
coming near his town he was able to ride it and that
clinched the deal for him. He brought his friend
Johnny Leach along, who brought his 9-year old son
Brandon. With the Juliana model being a small frame it
was perfect for Brandon, and it was his first
mountain
bike ride ever! Dad is sold on the Blur LT and
Juliana, and stoked that the program had a bike small
enough for his son to try.

What Voreis brings to the people is much more than
great bikes. His enthusiasm shines as he dials in
each bike for each rider. He wants to ensure that
everyone has a great time and a quality experience.
Johnny Leach says, “Kirt is such a nice guy. I’ve
never met a professional athlete who is more
personable and accommodating as Kirt. This is such a
cool program and it was a great location. And the
bike really surprised me, it pedaled so well. I
thought it would be heavy, but it felt really light!
And Brandon rode the Juliana and it is a great bike
for him. It is a top of the line bike for his size,
it was perfect. It’s a keeper bike, not a $300.00
piece of junk or garage sale material.”

Jeff Blackmore was equally impressed. “It was a very
accommodating set-up.
Kirt is there to find out what
you want out of a bike and fits you to the bike you
need. He and Travis set up the bikes for you and when
you ride out of the parking lot, hitting the trail,
you are completely dialed in.”

It was a great turnout with 40 riders who tried the
bikes. Voreis says, “I was stoked even a few Kirt
Voreis fans came out! And I was happy to see all the
riders who came out to be fitted to a bike. I’d also
like to thank the survivors that went on the ride
after, which included my mom, Brenda, and also the
marine, Aaron, who was the first to arrive and the
last to leave.”

All the riders were treated to swag by Bicycle
Warehouse and the over 21 crowd enjoyed ice cold beer
from Kirt’s local Bend, Oregon brewery, Deschutes
Brewery. Many bikes will be purchased from the
experience
the riders had today, but even more
important they will all take home the great experience
delivered by the enthusiastic Voreis.

With the demo tour just getting started, be sure to
check to see if the tour is coming near you. Next
stop is this Sunday, April 29th in So Cal at:

The Bike Co.
21098 Bake Parkway #112
Lake Forest, CA 92630

And on May 4th at:
Bicycle World & Fitness West U
2519 Rice Blvd.
Houston, TX 77005

Check out Kirt’s website for info:

www.kirtvoreis.com

Also:
www.santacruzmtb.com

And check out the new Syndicate site while you’re at
it:
http://www.santacruzmtb.com/riders/index.php?syndicate=1http://www.loopd.com/members/kvoreis/blog.aspx?resourceId=ac6704bb-abda-4010-b8df-3ba0c805c7b6Mon, 07 May 2007 21:12:56 GMTSmith Optics Signs Kirt Voreis, Joins Allride Tour...

Smith Optics is stoked to announce pro mountain biker Kirt Voreis has made Smith Optics his eyewear of choice.

Voreis, the 2002 Dual Slalom National Champion and renowned World Cup downhill racer, is one of the sport’s most progressive riders to date. A professional biker since 1994, Voreis started out racing cross- country only to be hired later as a professional downhill and dual slalom racer.

After a decade of racing experience and world travel, Voreis eventually moved away from racing and began progressing in slopestyle, street and dirt jump competitions where he has received more recognition as one of the world’s best.
