INTERBIKE TRADESHOW 2008

Interbike Tradeshow is our big show for the year. It is really important to make a good impression on the retailers that attend. We sponsored the first ever Arena Mtn.X races at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas. The track was awesome and the racing was really tight. ICETOOLZ gave away a free multi tool to all who attended, that was a big hit. In the show we did very well and even sold most of our tools on display so we didnt have to cart them home. (helped to pay for the booth $$$) We are almost ready to send out sponsorship offers so stay tuned.

SPONSORSHIP 101

Having your hard work, results and networked influence in a particular activity rewarded by some form of Sponsorship makes you feel GREAT!

After reading through hundreds of applications on Sponsorhouse.com here’s a few tips.

Know the product your applying for. Don’t just shotgun applications to sponsors. Use the companies name and product. A little effort here goes a long way.

Sponsors know what they can do for you. Tell them exactly how you will help them sell more products. Be specific; take ownership of this opportunity and think like it’s your money your spending. What would you really do for return on your investment?

Use proper English not slang. “YO sponsor me” doesn’t work in the business world.

Profiles: If your profile is full of pictures of you doing “SICK” big air tricks with no helmet or safety gear of any kind. What do you think a sponsor will do with it? “Decline”

After you receive sponsorship keep the sponsor updated so they can showcase your efforts. Send video, current results. Tell them how their product helped you. Get your local shop to carry the product if they don’t already. Help the sponsor justify $$ sponsoring you.

As you are well aware, it costs you $$ to compete. It cost’s us $$ to stay in business and sponsor athletes.

Lets meet in the middle and help each other and have fun doing it.

Don Jackson of Southridge Racing fame brings the exciting, fast paced world of 4 Cross racing to the indoor arena for the first time

ever at this years inaugural event held at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

20 of the top athletes from around the globe will be on hand to compete in a "Speedway Championship" style format that is all new to the current 4 Cross style of racing. A "Speedway" format will put all of the top riders against each other at least once throughout the course of the evening. This format elimates the chance that one of the top riders has a fall early in the event that would normally eliminate any chance of making the main. The format works on a point format and insures that the best riders of the night will be in the main event.

No team tactics! This is pure head to head racing.

The points per heat race are as follows:
1st Place: 3 points
2nd Place: 2 Points
3rd Place: 1 Point
4th Place: 0 points

For this inaugural event athletes are "Invite only". Next year there will be a 6 race Arena Mtn-X Series and will be open qualifying to all riders. (Locations to be announced later so check back often!)
