Bithlo Banquet

Went to my first Bithlo banquet and it was alot of fun!!!....It was an all day affair. We started practice around 9:00am and at 3:00 they brought out the water slide and dunk tank. There was a nice BBQ and awards ceremony, then we went right back to the water fun. My parents finally drug us home around 9:00pm. Definitley alot of fun!!!!

Todays races were for a rain out on 1/19. I raced in 85cc beg. and open. First moto open class I got the holeshot then fell to second in second lap and then fell to third in last lap. Second moto beg. class was only one race apart and I was worried I would be to hot/tired to get a good finish. I was second in take off and held. In my third lap I was tired and fumble with a gear but was able to hold on to second. Third moto open, I fought for the holeshot but came out of the first corner in third which I held to the finish. My last moto in the beg. class I got the holeshot but slipped to second in first lap and held to finish. Overall.....85cc Beg. 2nd Place.....Open 3rd Place.

It was a nasty day to be at the races, cold and wet. I raced in the 85cc beg. and open class. Moto one was open class. I took off in second but fell to third in third lap. I got second back in fourth lap just to fall in last lap last corner to finish with a fifth. Second moto was beg. class.This moto I got the holeshot but was passed in first corner. Third lap front rider fell and I finished with first place. My third moto was for open and I took off in second again and held to fourth lap when front rider fell and I took lead to finish with first place. My last moto I was second in take off but fell in the third lap. I was able to get up and finish with a second place. Overall........85cc Beg. 1st Place.......Open 2nd Place.

I raced in two classes, 85cc beg. and 65/85 open. In my first moto open class, I fought for a good start but by first lap third corner I was in fifth place and held that position to the finish. In the next moto for beg. I had some of the same problems. I fought for first place through the first corner but got caugt up in a crash and came out in third which I held to the finish. Third moto open class, I was second in take off but fell to third in the first lap and held that to the end. In my last moto I did much better, I got the holeshot and held first the entire race. Overall.....85cc Beg. 1st Place......Open 4th Place.

Had a great race night, track was in really good condition. They added a new jump in the first turn which was cool. I raced in the 85cc beg. and 65/85cc open classes. First moto (open) I took the holeshot but fell to second after the first corner then to third place. In the third lap I took back second and held to finish. In my second moto (beg) I got the holeshot and held first to the end. Third moto (open) Started in second place and stayed in that position to the finish. My last moto (beg) was a little tricky, the fog was so bad the announcer couldnt see us. I took off in second but was able to take first place in the first lap and hold to the finish. Overall......... Beg. 1st Place and open 2nd Place.

Raced in two classes again, the 85cc Beg. and 65/85cc Open. Track was in great condition. First moto (Beg. class) I was third in take off but took the lead after the first corner and was able to hold it to the end. My next moto was for 65/85cc open. I got the holeshot and was able to hold that position to the finish. In my third moto (Beg. class) I was second in the take off and held that through second lap then fell to third and held to finish. In my last moto for open class, I got a bad start and was in second place fighting to hold that position but then first went down and I took the lead and finished with a first. Overall I finished - 85cc Beg. - 2nd Place and 65/85cc Open - 1st Place

I had a great race night. I ran in the 85cc Beg. and in the 65/85cc open. My first motto (Beg) I got the holeshot and kept the lead through the entire motto. My next motto was in the open class and I got the holeshot again but lost the lead in the first lap but held on to second place all the way. Third motto (Beg) was pretty much the same as the first. I got the holeshot and had a smooth run finishing with another first place. My last motto was a rerun as well. I Got the holeshot but lost the lead in the first lap but held second all the way. Overall I finished 1st place Beg. class and 2nd place open.

The night didnt start off good but overall ended well. I raced in the 85cc 7-11 and 65cc/85cc open classes. In my first motto 7-11 class I got hung up on the gate and started in fourteenth. I was able to pass and finished that motto with a fourth place. In my second motto I fought for the holeshot but lost it in the second turn and finished with a second place. In the open class I got two great starts and was able to hold on to second place in both mottos.

The weather was great for the races this weekend. I raced 85cc Beginner and 65/85cc open. I did better in the beginner class, I finished the first moto in 1st place but 3rd in the second motto. I started off in my open class good finishing 2nd place in the first motto but in the second motto I was just wore out and after the second fell steadily behind, finishing with 5th place. I still need practice in my corners and hopefully my track will be dry enough so I can get some practice time in this week.

I had a few issues with my front brakes, and my break lever broke but luckily I changed the one out from my practice bike. The track was full , not quite as many racers as last week but a good turnout. I still need practice in my turns and for some reason I missed a gear in the second turn in two of my mottos. I hope to get some practice in this week and will continue to work on those turns.

There sure was a great turnout of 85cc riders at the track. In the beginner class we had 20. I was able to get a good start and hold on to 2nd place in both motos. In the 65/85 open class we had more than usuall as well. I was happy with my start in the first motto but my second motto I struggled, I finished 5th overall.

I had a pretty good race, the track was super muddy. I struggled in the turns due to all the mud and ruts but overall I was happy. I got the holeshot in all my motos but in the open class it didnt take long for the 85 Intermediate riders to take the lead. I'm going to practice my turns some this week and hopefully I'll get around them faster in my next race.
