As it is every year, I make the trip to the sea otter classic. Traditionally, I have never done well at this event. This was my first pro class at the otter. I had very good runs, I was in the 2;20's all through practice. The race day came and I felt very good. I had a great run until I came into the big berm before the hip and lost it into the turn. I had never come into to this berm that fast and just folded. Any way I ended up below 50th place or lower. I had a good time and I will work on my skills.

June 1st, I was practicing for the peavine challange DH. The track is in reno nv. I was about 10 seconds into my first run and did a fade away drop but hit a baby head rock and landed on my left side. I broke my clavicle into three pieces and had a plate and seven screws put in.

I am at home recouperating. I hope to be back up to speed for the july 1st race. A few cold monsters will move me along. Until next time.

Three of the DHRENO crew, including myself, were planning on taking the trip to Southridge, CA for the fourth dh race.

Due to the unsettled weather and horrible road conditions we didn't make this race. And so goes the hope of winning the overall series.

I am bummed, but I am glad we are not stranded in the snow covered mountains. Until next time,Keep riding.

3rd winter series race

Some of the DHRENO crew went to fontana, CA again for the third race of the year. As usual, the race was run very well inspite of the weather. This weeks course was a untechnical, turny and flowy one. Most of the course was off-camber turning. During Saturday's practice, the lines were dusty and loose. Late sat night , it started to rain. It didn't let up until noon on sunday. This made the race course a lot more fun. All of the off camber sections were slippery and rutted. The rocks had great traction. The wall was still there, and as always you needed to pedal, pedal, pedal.

After the race, I was able to sit down with Eric Carter(EC). I have looked up to him for so long. I remember when Steve Peat and he were on the GT Bicycles team. They were riding the experimental DHI. I was very excited to sit face to face with him and discuss oppurtunties/ options. There is a tremendous amount that I can learn from him. I hope that I can help him give back to the community that has given me so much.

Winter race.

DHRENO riders went down to the Fontana winter series race on Jan 28-29th. This was one of my all-time favorite races. Donny Jackson and his crew did an excellent job organizing and runing this event. I will try to go to as many as I can.

I have just finished building some awesome bikes. They are as follows:

2007 Intense M3, 07 Fox 40, Deemax 150 wheelset, minions allaround, juicy 7, X7 components. The raw color is sweet.

2007 Intense Socom, O7 Marzocchi ATA 888, Code brakes, X9 components. It is under 38 pounds.

2007 Intense Uzzi Vpx, 2007 Rock shox totem solo air, Code brakes, XO components. This bike is extremly quick in the corners.

2007 Commencal DH, 07 Boxxer, Outlaw wheelset.

In addition to the full bike builds I also built 5 wheels.
