Q&A - Personal
Some Personal Information About Me:
I live in Vermont and shred stowe. I started skiing when i was 18 months old. I then picked up ski racing and raced until i was 14, but ever since i was little ive always loved to jump, so i got into freestyle on my own. After years of trying to do freestyle and racing at the same time i decided that i was over racing and so i dropped racing and now i am only focused on freestyle. My favorite event in skiing is slopestyle. In the off season my main sport is skateboarding. Some other things i enjoy doing are painting, crocheting, knitting, freestyle walking, and bridge jumping.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Im part of the tutorial program at stowe, so i train 6 days out the week. My schedule is go to school until 12:00 then I drive up to the mountain and train with acadeny kids and other tutorial kids. Some days I have to leave at 2:45 and go back to school for tutoring, but if I dont have tutoring that day i usually stay after training and ride until 4:00. 3 days a week we work out at phit in the afternoon. We do agility and strenth training
Why do you like this sport?
I love skiing because it is always fun. I love to jump and go fast and with skiing I can do both of those. I also love snow, so skiing is the perfect sport for me.
Describe your style...
I care more about style than anything else in skiing. I strive to have a different style than anyone else. I also make sure that every trick i do is smooth and looks good. If i do a trick that doesnt feel good than i will keep trying that trick and either switch up the grab or some aspect of it or just drop it alltogether. Having a good flowing style is much more important than being able to huck yourself.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I would like to have something to do with the ski industry, if i cant go pro with skiing, I would like to be either a filmer or a photographer.
