About me and my carI am 26 years old. I began my sports career in 1999 at the age of 17 when I took part in a qualifying test in Germany along with 340 other competitors, where I was nominated as "Best Rookie". This gave me the right to participate in 2000 in VW Lupo Cup. Later in 2001 and 2002 I took part in several races from Ford Puma Cup. From 2003 I began racing in the bulgarian circuit championship with my cup car – Ford Puma, class A7. In 2004 and 2005 the car was modified. In 2006 we bought a Porsche 996 Turbo, which I drove for 2 years. From 2003 to 2007 I've always became a champion in my class and the general classification. In 2008 I bought a Nissan 200SX S13 and modified it for DRIFTING, which became my new passion. I've upgraded the engine(CA18DET) to 257 hp, the suspension, steering and lightened the body. I took part in several drift events in Bulgaria and won 2 prizes for most attractive drifter. For 2009 I plan to participate in some international drift races in Europe, so I've already installed a roll cage, a body kit, several new performance parts and other lightweight interior parts. The car was fully repainted in yellow. Now the only thing left for me is to assemble it and it will be ready to DRIFT.
My car is a Nissan 200SX S13, model from 1992. This is the european version of this world-known automobile, called 180SX in Japan and 240SX in the USA. It is considered to be one of the best drift cars.
In Bulgaria my car is the only S13 that is fully prepared for drifting. It has a 1.8l 16V turbocharged engine (CA18DET), which was upgraded with new performance camshafts, valves, custom ECU, new exhaust manifold and pipes, intercooler, air-filter and other parts and now produces 257 hp and around 300 Nm of tourque. It has a 5-speed manual transmission, sport clutch, lighter aluminium driveshaft and a Cusco LSD(limited slip differential). The suspension is Greddy all-ways adjustable. The steering system was also modified for better handling and bigger steering angle. All of the interior parts were removed for weight reduction. The wheels are 16" OZ Superleggera with 205/45/16 tires.
From 2009 the car has a roll cage in conformity with the regulations of the EDC (European Drift Championship), which will make possible my participation in all international drift races. I will also install a lighter plastic fuel tank, along with a fuel catch tank. The original dashboard will be replaced with a new custom one, made from fiberglass. Also new body parts like side skirts, front and rear bumpers and hood will be installed too for better appearance.
