Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

My girlfriend and her father cycle and i rode my bike to her house one day during the summer, i hadn't ever ridden that far, i was wearing long sleeves and a black t-shirt in the end of july. I wasn't able to make it home so i rode with them that evening adn they invited me to race with them the next weekend.

List your competitive highlights:

I placed 5th in the Seeley Lions Prefat.

What are you planning for next season?

I will be on a team, the Bikemigos. We are a team out there to raise cancer awareness, and racing in honor of my mother and the team captain's cousin.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

I rode the firehouse weekend. I did the 35 mile Fantasy, placed 13 and then rode the Firehouse 50 miles and placed 137.

Q&A - Personal

What inspires you to compete?

The thing that inspires me to compete now, is the passing of my mother. She died from ovarian cancer, which she battled for 2 years. She never gave up and just kept pushing. That is what i want to be able to do, not give up in the face of pain.

Employment / Experience Summary

I work at a cafe in the little town of Cable, Wis. It is the Brickhouse Cafe & Catering. I work Saturdays because of school. I do eveyrthing there except cook. It is great because i get free food.
