Cherry Wraps Up Season With Solid 4th Place Finish
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 31, 2009) – Michael Cherry wrapped up his sophomore season with the Drive for Diversity program with a solid fourth-place finish at Greenville Pickens Speedway in Greenville, S.C., on Saturday night.
“It’s good to finish out the season with a couple of good back-to-back finishes,” said Cherry, who had two top-five finishes last Saturday. “It’s been a great learning year for me here at Greenville Pickens and I can’t thank Blair (Addis) and the Drive for Diversity program enough for this opportunity.”
Cherry qualified seventh for the 40-lap late model event, driving the No. 34 Nationwide Insurance Toyota for Addis Motorsports.
Cherry is currently sixth in the Greenville Pickens Speedway Late Model points standings with seven top fives and 19 top 10s.
